Anyone catch on the Wu Tang Mini Series that HOT97 would hold artists hostage and basically make them perform at a bargain rate in order to continue to get airplay?

I will bet dollars to doughnuts it is still happening.

Brittney Spears was blackballed by Clear Channel because she dropped them as her tour promoters.

Idk if that happens as much anymore because radio is less prevalent. I think it's more of a wink wink favor for a favo thing now. Hot97 doesn have that kind of pull anymore.

Star put Hot 97 on blast about that years ago in his book when he said he seen with his own eyes how they did that to Mary J Blige and Jay Z and thats why Jay Z made the line:

"Got beef with radio if I don't play they show
They don't play my hits, well, I don't give a shyt, so"
