I didn’t say he didn’t have influence but he doesn’t have the influence like Pac, Wayne or Jay. You look at rappers nowadays and you see the influence of a Pac or Wayne. Who are these rappers nowadays with Nas’ influence?

The biggest rapper in the world right now

Nas has literally influenced ever decade minus 2020s

90s Eminem and others
2000s Lupe
2010s Cole and Kendrick
2020s lol we don’t have spitters like that anymore

What list is this?

Influence, impact, rapping ability, + sales equal and leads to

Nas
Jay
Eminem
Pac

Swap out em for Jay

Pac and Big are too contemporaneous, gotta pick one and swap out the other for a “founding generation” rapper, at least mid 80s era…I’d probably keep Pac and swap big for LL

LL, PAC, Hov, Wayne

Hate to be that dude but you have to replace Big with Jay lol. Jay has surpassed him in every aspect at this point.

And sorry but Nas doesn’t have the influence or impact or raw numbers like the others to be up there.:yeshrug:

“It’s always love with Nasty, man. Always. He a God. He a God in this thing that we do.”

“One of the reasons that I picked ‘Halftime’ is because there’s some rhyme schemes on there that most rappers to this day probably can’t do,” he said. “And that’s one of the things that has made Nas so great over his career.

“Like when he [said], ‘Because when I blast the herb, that’s my word/ I’ll be slaying them fast, doing this, that, and the third/ But chill, pass the Andre, and let’s slay/ I bag bytches up at John Jay and hit a matinee.’ He was rhyming entire sentences. And I’m like, ‘What the fukk is this?'”

“Former Death Row Records producer Curtis “Kurt Kobane” Couthon speaks on the encounter 2Pac had with the Long Beach Poly varsity football team in Barstow, California, and reflects on icon studying Nas‘ It Was Written on the drive to Las Vegas, before being fatally shot later that evening.

“ I don’t like no nikka that I have to decipher but some shyt that I don decipher I give a ten. Nas.”

NAME a rapper that Nas ain’t influenced.

2pac, Jay & Nas are mandatory

The 4th spot is debatable, Em has a def has a case, Wanye, absolutely not.

That's the formula right there honestly, if we're talking about historical, not preference.

Mt. Rushmore isn't about your favorite presidents; it's about the most important/impactful to point up when telling a history lesson that can bridge as many gaps as possible and that's it right there.

Everybody on that list bridges gaps between the origins of the culture to present day.
