But their best military has been placed in the West in order to take back "Western Tigray". The fact they aren't getting any progress there and are in fact getting pushed back now has to be disconcerting for them. Humera is also a very crucial city for them to capture but that is apparently turning into a bloodbath, not in their favor.

Pretty much the first part. It’s proximity to Tigray meant that people were bilingual and sometimes even trilingual (Welkait also borders Sudan) as a means of conducting trade.

The wider designs of the Woyane/Agazian movement is the creation of a Christian Orthodox Tigrinya speaking state comprising pieces of Ethiopia and Eritrea. The GERD dam was a part of that plan as well as the Eritrean coastline but they’ve failed miserably thus far.

Somali brehs, how y’all feel about Western diplomats taking such a shining to Somaliland? Feels like they want to dangle recognition of sovereignty in exchange for Hargeisa to be a loyal and obedient vassal of the West. I even remember watching an NBC news report where they were talking about Somalia and Somaliland was suspiciously made separate. Struck me as odd, only time cacs get eager about East Africa is when they plan to further destabilize it.

Is the TPLF-Eritrea beef just a battle between two regional/political forces for Tigre-Tigray-Tigrayan supremacy

And is this Christian fundamentalist movement a third actor that's upending this previous dichotomy within the greater Tigre-Tigray-Tigrayan political scene?

I'm surprised they don't find common ground with Amhara people considering they are also Ethiopian Orthodox, highland people aka Habesha

Yes there has been offensive since AS wiped out Abunch people that were on bus





AS targeted sub sub clan killing them off. They are also in fighting with random militias like one group called macawissy or something they vigilant group taken arms against them.



Somalia president can easily arm these militias to fight back AS and free their lands but arming miltia groups even tho they are anti AS can be double edge sword as they can still be used in clan skirmishes


Either way will see if there will be any progress from this but I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
