I’m halfway wondering if they just playing it up to make it look like the West is being unbiased in this because such a sudden admission is weird. But then again, the fact that Woyane are attempting to directly contradict one of their cracker patrons is interesting. I think Woyane and their supporters know that they can’t use last years Blueprint especially now that the pro-HOA activists are on high alert and kept every receipt. Woyane are running out of time, the GERD progress lessens their importance to Egypt and the political realities on the ground are going to force the West’s hand for fear of losing Ethiopia and the region to China/Russia fully.

The only reason they are able to sustain this is b/c of 1.) mass forced conscription, 2.) months and months of aid theft, 3.) weapons supply from Egypt. Nothing should be allowed to flow into Tigray until this suicide mission is complete.

I think most of them are Eritreans. Either from Akale Guzay, which is a region in the south where some Eritreans sympathize w/ Tigray. Or they are Eritrean-born Tigranyans.
There are also some Christian fundamentalist groups who believe Eritrea/Tigray should be one big Christian nation. They will not try this in the States.

Woyane is just a nickname for Tigrayans/TPLF supporters. They just restarted the war last week, invading parts of Amhara lands. Amhara militias and the Ethiopian military are pushing them back. USA envoy is arriving any day now to try to arm-twist Abiy into negotiations...again. TPLF are not interested in peace until they get Welkait/Humera lands back (on the left side of this map below). They lost that land in the beginning of the war. Amhara claims it as the original owner. Against the backdrop of all this is this genocide propaganda and the West's meddling to try to save their darling proxy - TPLF.
TPLF used a human wave tactic to capture parts of North Wollo and take the POWs they are marching around on TV. But their best military has been placed in the West in order to take back "Western Tigray". The fact they aren't getting any progress there and are in fact getting pushed back now has to be disconcerting for them. Humera is also a very crucial city for them to capture but that is apparently turning into a bloodbath, not in their favor.
