Beyond image quality differences, however, the three modes are all roughly the same. Personally, the image quality in performance mode is strong enough that I recommend this mode over the others. This looks really good and I wish there was a Halo 2 remake style "button" that can go back and forth between the old style and remaster. I think people are remembering Horizon looking like this when in fact it didn't look that good compared to now.

Forbidden West is one of the best looking games I've ever seen. Zero Dawn is just aight.

The term "remaster" is starting to blur the lines between remake and remaster. It isn't a simple resolution and framerate bump.
