I feel this way too. Breh spoke a lot of facts. A lot of the rap industry today, especially radio, is filled with unoriginal and untalented clowns. We still have a lot of great rappers but too many weak ones are blowing up. The craft was been downgraded to just turning up and making money. There aint no culture to this.

I'm sure you know this but I'll say it anyway - rap has for the most part been bubble gum in the mainstream esp. in terms of radio play.

nowadays in rap the only actual talents you need is a good ear, swag, a good voice and trendy delivery, and the ability to write hooks. But what about the actual rapping skills?

His rap voice is not WHOA, initially he caught flack because he sounded like what he is a suburban canadian, folks just got used to it over time...
His delivery is based on coping reference tracks
He doesnt write his own hooks, at least it appears that way...

Thats whats weird to me... folks were like 'well he used QM's hooks but he changed up the verses substantially', in my mind I was like... ummmm Drake is known for hooks, if he aint writing the hooks whats the point?

Really rap you dont need any talent to blow up...

Everyone will call him corny but Hopsin has real talent. I'd say 1/10 of the rappers that are on top of the charts right now have any sort of talent at all. Hip-Hop, in its modern form, takes zero skill.
