they both wouldve given him tons of trouble..but hagler was never leaving middleweight and i dont think mayweather would want to go up to middleweight to fight him. if mayweather went up to middle to fight hagler id bet on hagler but im a hagler stan so :yeshrug:

hearns had the height, reach and ko power..he'd be a nightmare to floyd.

mugabi wouldve been trouble for floyd too..the relentless pursuit and punch power..if floyd made it go the distance he'd win because mugabi could tire but those first 6 rounds would be constant danger zone...:wow:..then again, he fought at welter in the olympics and generally moved up in class since then so idk bout that either

Nope. Nostalgia will win this one though. They would not land like many believe they would. Pacquiao has faster hands then both and he landed 19%. They have the reach but not the speed. Floyd wins decision against both but takes some punishment from the jabs. Then everyone calls the fight boring and Floyd a runner afterwards.

Fair assessment but u cant underestimate the reach advantage, particularly of Hearns. With him being 6'1 and having long arms and the KO power, floyd would be in big trouble. Not taking away from Floyd at all..but one of the reasons Manny couldnt land effectively was because of Floyd's adjustment to the outside while keeping Manny at a distance. Floyd obviously got away remarkably well when he was on the ropes or cornered against Manny but those were really the only times that Manny was remotely effective. Hearns could touch him some of the times where Manny was coming up with nothing but air.

i think Hagler would look silly, Hearns might be able to land a few good ones early but look ordinary in the later rounds if he doesnt damage floyd

I can't take anybody's opinion on boxing seriously if they think Floyd beat's Hearns. Sorry just can't. Too much speed, too much reach, too much power, too much finesse, too much skills, too much Steward in the corner, too much everything really. I'm sure Floyd's own father and uncles will tell you Hearn's wins that one clearly. shyt's a given really if you truly follow the sport and seen Hearns box before.

A Hagler fight is unfair though since it's not like we have any Floyd fights at middleweight to dissect so I won't even touch that one.

Floyd's an ATG no doubt, but just because you're an ATG doesn't mean you automatically match up well with other ATG's, there's levels to that shyt too. Marciano is an ATG, but nobody in their right mind would pick him to beat guys like Foreman or Holmes. That's no disrespect to Rocky, it's just that their both all wrong for him, plus they're both bigger, stronger, faster, etc...

There's too many great fighters at 130-154lbs to say Floyd just beats them all. There's going to be some fights that he'll lose. That's just how the sport is.

He loses to SRL. He beats Hearns though. The reach and jab is great but prime Floyd is way too fast and skilled for him. I might even take this 38 y/o Floyd over him.
