One thing about Cali you have to remember is that something like over 20% of all Asians live in Cali and they are supplied with fresh immigrants daily. LA is the Asian version of ATL. With that many Asians and newcomers who will more likely marry their own, their rate is easily kept down. Elsewhere it is more 2nd generation people and the rate is higher.
Likewise with Blacks, they are either living in all Black areas, unfortunately with low marriage rates, or living out in Irvine and shyt surrounded by non-Blacks. Combine this with the liberal Cali attitude I am not all that surprised.

Also that stat is bullshyt. Over half of the overall numerical gap of Black men and women is due to the sex gap at older ages. Black women--like all women--live longer than their men so the sex gap grows huge at the old end of the spectrum. But these old women aren't getting married again so shouldn't be in the stat. The actual sex gap in numbers for women of marriageable age (25-34) is about 200k. Not great and nothing to be proud of but if that was the biggest reason for women not getting married our marriage rate would still be much higher.
Also there has been a problem with undercounts of Black men for years (widely published and discussed) and though these are likely lower on the economic ladder, they aren't gone.
Yes, there are a lot of brothers with criminal records sadly but they typically come from poorer backgrounds so those communities are hit hardest---the average middle class Black chick doesn't lose that many men in her demographic to prison.
Education gap is an issue too but even White people have that problem now.
I have nothing against the swirl and don't mind it. Just don't say society has put a gun to your head and forced you to do it. Live by your choice and don't shade others.

In Cali white women,asian women,latina women are alot more liberal and open to dating black men,and its been that way for decades....the rest of the country is lagging behind Cali in that regard.
So on one hand Cali women overall are less racist than any group of women in any other state across the nation
