I don't hate Lebron James, it's silly for anyone to hate that dude.

I do hate the narrative that often surrounds him as it relates to his teammates. When the team wins it's ALL because of Lebron taking garbage teammates and turning them into decent players. When the team loses it's because he has no help and his teammates suck. The problem with this is that Lebron has been playing with all star and Hall of fame caliber players since 2010.

I hear that but I do think there's logic to the LeBron teammate thing at times. We all know the general idea about the W/L record for Cleveland the past few years when LeBron doesn't play and we all know that Kyrie and Love never won a thing without him. In Miami we all agree LeBron was the main problem when they lost to Dallas but also the reason they won the next 2. When they got ran by San Antonio it was clear Wade was still not right and neither was Bosh so neither were playing like All Stars at the time. But I really think the 'teammates suck' thing is way more of a fan, social media thing than anything else. This year he got heat for saying he needed help but I think its very clear now that GSW is far more talented of a team which isn't a knock on Cleveland, its just that Cleveland doesn't have a historically great roster

This thing about LeBron 'stans' trips me out. On social media, on my FB feed, twitter, Coli, seems like 90% of what I see about LeBron is either flat out hate or rooting against him. All the talk I see on the Coli about Bron 'stans' but any anti Bron thread is getting 50 likes while seemingly 'pro' Bron threads getting 20-30. Seems like its waaaayyy more Bron haters than fans/indifferent combined. nikkas on FB HAAAATE this nikka and be steady riding KDs jock all the sudden. Just like nobody said a word about Golden State until 2 years ago now everyone's a fan. Just seems out of wack to me, idk. Plus us black folks usually love cats that get old white men freaking out and controlling they own destiny but not this dude

I don't hate LeBron, but I don't root for him because he flops (and GOATs shouldn't flop) and he's a grandstander and a frontrunner. The Heat intro press conference "not 1, not 2, not 3" comments rubbed me the wrong way also. LeBron dominates lesser opponents but he's not good under pressure (while he does have his moments) and that's my favorite part of basketball. There's no words I could use to describe his talent and ability, he's the prototype basketball player and seems like a really good dude. But if you're going to call yourself the chosen 1, and wear 23 you need to be the man in crunch time.

I don't like manufactured products, and LeBron is definitely a manufactured product. The league always marketed him as the new face. Wanted him to be as successful as Jordan but as liked/respected as Jeter, even if he didn't earn either. He always had that "watch him, you'll really like it" kind of branding following him around; it always felt forced because it was. The league was always trying to force us to like and respect him; he never had to earn it, and with me, he never has.
