Nissan seems to be moving away from the CVTs for most of their higher models and improving their quality. This could be a good move.
I always hear about how problematic those are. I'm assuming they didn't put those in their *infinitys, or at least I hope they didn't.

They did, on the QX60 and QX50 in the past. They just updated their Infiniti line up, the new QX60 has the 9 speed now. The Infiniti CVTs were better quality. Also in general for Nissan/Infiniti, the V6 engine paired with the CVTs were ok/fine for the most part. The issues were mostly with the 4 cylinder and CVTs.

breh I didn't even know Infiniti was still a thing. Legit haven't seen one on the road in years

Mazdas don't get a lot of love but as far as just being a regular car they're solid as hell. I would recommend a Mazda to the average person over anything else right now
I love Mazdas, their standard edition comes loaded with extras.

The 2nd hand models go for cheap because the car dealership find it hard to sell Mazdas so they easy to knock off the price with a bit of negotiation.
