I know 1 teacher vs 1 Pupil is going to be more effective than 1 teacher vs 20 pupils

But the parent is suppose to be reinforcing stuff learn from school at home anyway.

And kids needs to be social and see how other kids do things right and wrong. plus we don't need anymore socially awkward introverts

:snoop:

School is not the only place where kids can gain social skills.
Most home schoolers are NOT religious zealots who want to shelter their kids from the real world. They're mostly parents who want to instill free and critical thinking skills in their children. E.g., doing research on a topic before expressing an opinion on it.

Probably due to misconceptions and misinformation. I used to think home school was only done by crazy religious folks.
It still mostly is.
The vast majority of parents aren't equipped to homeschool their children.
I actually don't know that many adults who are well-versed in English, Science, Mathematics, Music, Art, (Spanish/French/Italian) History, Government, Social Studies, and basic Economics to get a kid to 8th Grade without falling behind. That's not even going in to high school homeschooling.
83% of homeschoolers cite "religious or moral reasons" for why they want to homeschool their children.
Advancing your kids outside of a private or public school setting is the key to doing the best, and most parents don't. Which is why the public-school to prison pipeline is so prominent (well, that and poor kids almost always being in public schools and also being the most susceptible to being imprisoned).

.........Nah

I don't want my son to miss out on the opportunity to smash a hot, young female teacher.

Future of education will be done online anyway. Might as well go ahead and get on the wave that will undo brick and mortar institutions. It's all planned. I welcome it. Change is inevitable.

Anything to get rid of these corrupt teachers that exist only to belittle the self-esteem from children.

It's not right but the agitation and belittling of teachers and ultimate blaming of every single thing on teachers is all planned. Ever since they took paddling out of the school system it's been mayhem. I wish I could agree with your statement 100% but as someone who's actually been in the field, I feel you are taking one or two minor incidents and blowing them out of proportion. There are some truly bad children that push the envelope with teachers and they are really expected to just sit and take it. Which will lead to kids pushing more and more of the envelope. That is to be expected with children. But it makes for a very difficult teaching job. Somewhere along the line this, intentionally IMO, got pushed through the cracks. It became en vogue to expect teachers to basically do magic tricks and be insanely forgiving for any distraction or difficulty that may be presented. Again, it's all on purpose. I'm happy because with all this, the teacher has been rendered powerless. It's nonsense. Quit screwing around and just give them cushy internet teacher jobs so there is no need for a classroom and no need to babysit children who in many many cases don't get a proper rearing at home.

I'll admit some teachers are out to give students a hard time and those teachers suck but I promise you in my experience this wasn't nearly the case across the board.

It's a dying institution. A serious mental renaissance is on the horizon and we are in bad need of it. A shame it's going so slowly but they never happen overnight.

I blame the fact that the entire institution of education refuses to evolve in a time where technology is rapidly evolving. That especially goes for colleges all over the country that have hyperinflated tuition and loans that most students can't pay back. It needs to come to an end and it needs to have its head smashed on the pavement to learn.

This can be done effectively with public schooling and reinforced at home.

Also 2 incomes are better than 1.

One parents salary can go towards investing in some type of tuition plan if they are able to live off 1 income (most households don't have this luxury)

Mental renaissance on the horizon will clear all that up. We are holding on to far too many institutions and just plain outdated ways of thinking that are slowing us down as a race of beings. I can't be the only one that feels that something just has to shake. And it will. Those that can't adapt will get knocked over and left behind. History has shown it.......

Some predictions :
Brick and mortar institutions for education will go the way of the dinosaurs ie a push for online schooling from all levels of grades K-12 through College. This is already in motion honestly. Hence this thread's subject title.

Religion will go the way of the dinosaurs. This will be a tough one for a lot of folks. But the push towards science is getting stronger daily. The internet has accelerated this. A common theme in renaissance is technological advances accelerating certain aspects of it.

Relationships will become more virtual. This is a lowkey form of population control. All this online porn. You just know someone is sitting around wondering how they can take it to the next level. You can interact with it of course! It's coming. The animatronics movement will pick up steam and an offshoot will be interactive porn. Kind of like a next level blow up doll. It'll be so real some weak dudes will swear off women forever. Like I said, lowkey form of population control. 7 billion plus? We don't have the resources to keep expanding our numbers like that forever....which leads me to....

Post-Work Society. Basically this is a society where full time jobs take a back seat to reduced hours and mass layoffs. I'm hoping this one doesn't come about. Reason being is because inflation will keep things from getting cheaper. So folks will have to work more than one job due to lack of hours to make ends meet. shyt will be modern day slavery. Some people are already experiencing this. But it will likely become much more rampant. I don't wish it but all the indicators say otherwise. Wal Mart is lowkey showing businesses the way. Also, notice how we have healthcare through the government now? Now the employers don't have to offer it. Employers offering it is actually discouraged, right? This gives them free reign to bs with your hours. Wal Mart keeps employees below that 40 hour mark so they don't have to give health care. I tell you they are laying out a blueprint.

That mental renaissance. Some parts of it will be great and some parts will suck to no end....never pleasing across the board.

Religous reasons are most commonly cited among white parents, not blacks.
And it's true that most people are not well-versed in the liberal arts. Yet, as it was mentioned earlier, parents can hire tutors or teachers for subjects they're not knowledgeable about. I'm sure most working and middle-class blacks can find black tutors/teachers who're willing to teach their kids at a reasonable cost. There's no excuse.

This will be caused thanks to job automation. All them jobs in Walmart will be computer automated and soon, accounting jobs will cease thanks to websites processing everything much more efficiently and faster. If anything, we gotta be entrepreneurial, or starve to death. Looking for a job will be a thing of the past.
