I don't think it's necessarily about them disagreeing with me, but more so that it's more of a talking point than anything else is, because it's centered around drama.

It's definitely not a chicken or the egg scenario.

They won playing through much greater turmoil in 2018, not only with Dray and KD, but KD sabotaging the offense to prove a point. The chemistry was as bad as it ever was that season and they still came out with a championship. This Poole incident is nothing compared to that. It barely even registers. The Wiseman experiment had a much greater effect on them losing this season, but since it's not sensationalism it's not going to get 1/100th the amount of coverage.

You know cotdamn well if they went all in on maximizing the OG core's window by making the necessary moves we wouldn't even be talking about this rn.
I have to agree with this

The Warriors just need a 13ppg Big and to play Kuminga more, don't make this harder than what it is.

trade Poole, play GP2 and Donta more, add a scoring guard for cheap maybe via draft or older vet needing a contract.

This isn't that hard really

That incident ain't got shyt to do with Klay and Poole shytting the bed at the worst time. That incident ain't got shyt to do with them not having enough depth because they wasted their resources and time on this 'two timelines' nonsense. That incident ain't got shyt to do with their core aging and being at the end of their window.

The Lakers were the better team and executed when it mattered most.

Nobody is saying that incident didn't have any affect, at all, but it wasn't the reason why they lost in the playoffs.

If they made trades to bring in more depth, nobody would even be talking about this shyt rn, because their season would still be alive.
Poole regressed a ton & it showed up during the playoffs x10

I think Draymond is saying those bad habits would have been addressed & corrected by this point. Unfortunately he prob felt he couldn’t even raise his voice at Poole without criticism. Come to think of it I don’t think I saw him talk to Poole the same way he did other teammates when they messed up

While that may be true, would it have changed anything?

This would seem to me Dray is taking ownership of what happened, rather than actually it being the cause of why they lost in the playoffs. The guilt probably has him overestimating the effect of what happened. Poole had those bad habits last season and didn't correct them, and to be honest, I don't think he ever will.

I mean, I can guarantee he and KD's relationship wasn't the same during the 2018 season after that drama, and yet they still managed to figure shyt out and win a championship.

Continued bad habits cause further regression. If they had Poole from last season they are still playing right now

Poole from last season wouldn’t have been enough, ain’t it wouldn’t have changed Klay shytting the bed at the worst time either. And it certainly wouldn’t have changed Wiggins being out for months and not performing up to standard in the postseason.

This was much more than just what happened to Poole.

I mentioned before but the refs clamping down on his carry violations early in the season had more of an impact on his game. I don’t think he completely adjusted hence why he was losing his dribble more often and running himself into dead-ends. That parlayed with teams knowing his tendencies wouldn’t have been fixed simply by a healthy relationship with Dray and a completely harmonious team environment.

:russ: damn @BlueHeffner it been almost week. I guess the stench of Klay stinking it up is still lingering
I know Poole has been the whipping boy amongst the fanbase (rightfully so), but Klay doing dumb shyt and shooting us out of the game because of his ego got me 😡😡😡😡

This nikka has been in the league for 11 years and still doing dumb shyt :mjcry:

I disagree. GS lost simply because they didn’t have anyone to generate consist offense.

The last 3 games against GS & the 1st game against Denver showed me our defense had dipped defending shooters.
Last year Poole advances them. Either way the FO has a lot of work to do. You either trust him to have a bounce back year & trade him for a big who can get buckets.

Wasting prime Steph is not an option.
