I'm not a Warriors hater but the team is a huge disappointment this season and I can't believe there was talking heads saying they can beat PHX in round 1 and how the Suns didn't want to see them :what:
Warriors going home in 5 if they see Phoenix in round 1

Team is completely different with Steph at the helm.

There's a weird energy of deference that's a net negative overall. Klay, Jordan, Donte, and even JKs game has all suffered to varying degrees.

There also seems to be some weird energy between the young guys and the vets.

Maybe this isn't news to you, but it seems to be rearing it's ugly head again.

And the Wigs situation is just beyond weird at this point. Is the breh in rehab or something?

Better figure it out Dubs!

All these young guys shouldn’t even be here. The energy should be weird.

Team has chemistry issues if you ask me. Along with poor roster construction of course

Shouldn't have paid Poole, also, if you were to ask me again. Money should've went somewhere else instead of to a player with a redundant skillet as your main guy. What fukkin sense does that makes

Not sure what you mean.

Every team has to restock the cupboard. Especially when you have a core as flabby and sick was we do.

Not this ambitious "2 timelines" bullshït. Just normal drafting and roster mgmt.

Maybe the move was for the FO to collaborate with Steph, Dray, Klay, and Iggy on draft picks and/or trades the past few years, so they'd be 100% bought in energetically.

I'm pretty sure the contract thing with Poole getting paid before, or instead of Dray was the main wedge.

Yep.

The Herro signing set the price, and The Punch printed the contract.

It's cool to lock down tomorrow's potential stars at today's market price, but what you miss out on is them playing their ass off during a contract season, and the flexibility to pivot if the situation changes.

Steph was cooking last night.. no rust.. its frustrating to see that the FO literally dropped the fukkin ball with all the quality bigs that was on the market they could've filled that spot to replicate Boguts skill set. FO failed to adapt to the fact that the league has finally caught on to the fact you have no size... That should've been realized last season to mitigate that aspect and keep the league on this toes..

also I'm convinced the refs have literally found a way to put the clamps on the dubs just by calling them tight as fukk on away games and giving he home team and extra whistle vs us being home and we get a semi fair whistle

I didn't realize it was Poole that didn't pass him the ball. Those jokes just write themselves lol.
Quiet is kept, Dray acted thirsty and pouty like Wiseman on that play.

:childplease:

Yeah JPs been playing like trash past few games. But you don't quit on your team in the middle of a play.

Think he would have reacted that way if Steph, Iggy or Klay missed that pass?

How we have always the smallest team AND the least athletic team?

:beli:

I was beside myself watching Vanderbilt and Poeltl walk right past us for peanuts.

But-bu-bu bball IQ is off the charts tho, right?

SIZE MATTERS

And yeah, the refs are 100% on some bullshït, all year, but I hate hate hate talking about them.

It just wasn’t that play though, it’s an accumulation of Poole doing dumb shyt and costing the team chances of generating and maximising runs. That’s where Dray’s frustration stems from. Dray can always trust in Steph, Klay and Iggy because they built this thang together. Poole wasn’t there for that, so naturally, Dray isn’t going to have the same belief in him if he’s always fukking up.

It’s been a running theme with Poole this season.

Yes, Dray shouldn’t have quit on the play, but we’re nearing the end of the season and Poole shouldn’t be making basic mistakes like this. We’re too far in the season and Poole has been in this system for far long for this to be happening on the regular.

I’d be frustrated too if I was Dray, where my body is failing me and I’m trying to make the most out of the minimal time this core has left to compete, and here this bozo is doing his best to derail everything.

The biggest problem with Poole outside of his inconsistency and horrible defense has been not reading the moment. So many times the Warriors are in the middle of one of their patented runs and Poole will just throw up some wild bullshyt or turn the ball over trying to do too much and kills all momentum. He has to realize he’s not Steph and doesn’t have the freedom to take shots like that.

we really dont have to "restock the cupboard", especially when the Warriors draft as badly as they do. The young guys barely contribute. Moody is back in the G League, PBJ played 4 mins last night, and they blew the wiseman pick and let it marinate for 3 seasons. Bc of this, they have to play anthony lamb and use up all his days. This is a guy who only played about 26 games in his entire career before coming to GSW. Remember, the idea was to have the young guys move into big contributing roles, and its been an absolute failure. the jig was up when the core of Kuminga/moody/Wiseman was getting blown off the court by summer league players.

Every team that wants to contend has to realize who is dead weight and who isnt. The bucks have only drafted and kept Giannis this entire time. U think they miss Jordan Nwora? U think the celtics miss Aaron Nesmith and Romeo Langford? Even when the Jazz were rebuilding after getting Gobert, u think they missed dante exum and rodney hood? That was theur young core before donovan mitchell came in 2018. Not every draft pick is going to be apart of the future. it's up the front office to make those decisions, and deciding to drop vets, and replace them with players who have next to no experience immediately after winning a chip is mind-numbingly stupid. This roster leaves zero room for error. They can't have a bad stretch or they'll lose, especially on the road

I don't disagree with you. The debate is mostly semantics.

Agree, you don't marry your future to a bunch of draft picks. That's why I said "not the 2 timelines bullshït". But there does need to be a restocking of the cupboard, even if it's signing 2 way guys like Lamb and Jerome. Restocking doesn't mean all inexperienced players.

Obviously we needed some outside roster changes. Rim protector, wing defender, etc.

The Warriors drafted poorly, and made executive decisions and indecisions even more poorly.

This fiasco is encapsulated in Wise/GP2. Trading their "star" #2 pick for the same role player they let go of last year.

The responsibility goes all the way to the top at Joey Light Years, down to Moses Moody.
