I thought the ball moved well when iggy was out there. He just doesn't have a shot. But my issue was again.. glaring mistakes from JK and he gets yanked immediately. Lamb makes bad mistakes and he plays through it. And Lambs only real value from what I see is hitting open catch and shoot 3's.

Iggy plays smart and makes good passes, but he's yet another guy who's on the court either scared to shoot, or clanking them off the backboard.

I saw him with the ball 10 feet from the basket not even looking at the hoop. That level of offensive ineptitude hurts the team when the defense gets to pack, and double at will.

The same was true for Dray when he refused to be an offensive threat. He's been better recently, but he has his moments where he regresses too.

Igoudala needs to figure out how to punish the defense for slacking off of him, or he's a net negative.

When Lamb shot that quick ass basket and Reeves came down and beat the buzzer for a 3 , i was literally done with that nikka. I hate how long his leash is for the dumb ass shyt he does but for others its always a quick yank. Also we need Wiggs back in a bad way word to @Flight
Yeah, it's one thing when a four-time champion potential hall of famer gets a long leash...

But when a 25 year old, journeyman 2-way player gets extra rope over a burgeoning lottery pick, potential game changer, who's been improving with playing time, gets a quick hook...

Now I'm looking at Kerr sideways.

I saw Poole come through on the biggest stage when the lights were on... Reeves ain't done that... that regular season shyt means nothing....
idk man. poole was getting benched to close all the games in addition to his minutes decreasing steadily each round. points per game is only one dimension of the game. it's why iguodala is a beloved player in all the runs we have.

i agree with the idea that they're not far apart from each other. Reaves ain't scoring like Poole (although when reaves does score, he's efficient), but he works hard on defense and doesnt do too much on offense. usually makes the correct decision. and he's not leading the league in turnovers. that stuff matters, so what he doesnt do in scoring, he's still finding ways to make himself useful with his IQ. Poole's IQ been in question all season long and if he's not scoring the ball he's pretty much useless on the court. aint no way they're worlds apart. Poole was on a contender, and reaves never has been.

Both teams demand different things from both players, warriors need him to be mini Steph and lakers need reeves to play his role. Theres a bigger burden on Poole and I feel like he presses at times.

And

With the way he played in playoffs last year I’ll give him a longer leash

i'm not sure they do. the week before last, steve and draymond and klay were heaping praise on Poole's play against OKC. he wasnt jacking up 3's left and rght. he played a controlled game and made the easy pass and got his teammates going.

What he's doing now, is becoming a parody of what people think steph is. iguodala told him he needs to get to the line more last season. that means he needs to drive more and use his FT shooting as a weapon. Dude took like 11 threes yesterday. And it's not even yesterday, it's literally all season, even when he's playing WITH steph. They don't need him to be steph curry when steph curry is in front of him. Steph got ejected for this exact thing, and why Kerr spoke to him 1-on-1 last week

I guarantee if he played a smarter game, he'd be more effective. He might not score 20ppg, they might not post that "remember when poole saw baddies in the crowd and turned into 2016 steph" video, but it would help the team a lot more if he played to his strengths. Shooting below league average on above league average attempts kills the offense.

EDIT: Steph is also more than a scorer and shooter. He’s an excellent finisher in traffic. And he is a good defender, even tho people don’t admit it. When He gets targeted, he doesn’t fold. And Steph is an outstanding rebounder. Poole doing a Steph curry impression should be more than chucking 3’s, especially at an inefficient rate. He would be holding his own on defense and rebounding the ball.

Yeah we definitely don't need "2 Stephs". JP3 likes to emulate the 40 footers, heat checks, and one arm passes. But game awareness, playing inside out, and bball IQ is where we need the imitation.

But I've been giving JP props for attacking the basket way more in the recent games. His shooting is still sketchy, but he's been driving and getting to the line much more.

Coincidentally we won those games.

Yesterday JP3 fell back into old habits. Minga did too (being indecisive).

Can't help but think this is a direct effect of the primary scorer and franchise golden child coming back into the lineup.

I'm not talking +/- stats. I'm talking actual on court impact compared to alternatives.

He was ok tho, for a first game back. I'd rather Minga got more minutes.
