This is my hot take...
How the Warriors/Kerr handles Kuminga's playing time will determine their success or failure this year.
We've all seen the kid play. We've seen him grow. We understand his value to the team currently, and his infinite upside.
He played 13 min yesterday. Igoudala played 14.
Minga looked like an indecisive young player who's still learning the game.
Iggy looked like an 85 year old grandpa throwing bricks at the backboard, while almost having a heart attack.
Iggy gets praised, valued, and an infinite rope.
Minga gets yanked after a few tough plays in a game, after playing the best week of ball in his entire career.
This is not ok.
How short will Minga's rope be when Wigs and/or GP2 gets back?
People like Kerr, Steph, and Dray need to go out of their way to specifically boost Minga's confidence. Especially if he has to sit down for a minute due to rotations or matchups.
But enough with this sonning the kid, and buck breaking.
This also applies to JP3, in a lesser way.
