2021 draft was one more the more amazing drafts we’ve had in a while. And if you’re gonna do this “two timeline” bullshyt, you REALLY gotta nail the draft. And they didnt

A young core of Moody+Wise+Kuminga is easily the worst young core in the NBA.

one is a bust of a #2 pick that just got traded on his rookie deal, one is an extremely slow player that only has the ability to shoot, and isn’t even shooting well, and the third is a decent defender but is so unpolished offensively, he has to play like a center. The jig was up when they were all on the floor together and getting run off the court by summer league guys in July

The pelicans had zero lottery picks and managed to get Trey Murphy+Herb Jones+Jose Alvarado, which is a much better core. And let’s not forget the warriors FO gave a guaranteed contract to a guy they took in the 2nd round and is out for the season with a jones fracture :snoop:

The point is the back end of the roster is so bad they can’t get any production so they have to play their core playoff minutes in February. The “foundational 6” were setup to fail. Either they play amazing for 4 quarters or lose, because they have no margin for error with this terrible roster
Idk if that two timeline concept has ever succeeded in my lifetime. Cavs didn't really get a chance to execute it with LeBron's insistence on getting old dudes, Celtics had a chance to do it with the mid 2010s guys + JB/JT/Rob, but Gordon snapped his shyt and Kyrie...Spurs did it the best, having Kawhi come into his own just as the prime Spurs were aging out, but then he dipped. Portland with Dame and Simons/Sharpe... :mjlol:

Long story short, it may be possible, but something makes it to where it doesn't seem feasible anymore once backs start hitting the wall

Would the early 2000 Spurs count. They made the transition from the Duncan/Robinson/Elliot trio to Duncan/Parker/Ginobili era.

Tonight was the Warriors 4th attempt to get three games over .500. And they lost each one. Actually they lost 2 games each time.

Glass ceiling.

And tonight was game 2.

That L was preordained.

He can’t get the ball. It’s just split action for Klay & JP. shyt is trash..he can’t get a post touch or anything
That’s why it’s funny to see casuals like @Gil Scott-Heroin beg for better players (like Vanderbilt). He would just be out there setting picks wasting away, with an occasional rim dive if he’s lucky.

They also didn’t get him because they think certain guys are too dumb to pick up the “system”:mjpls:
lakers were making trades like a week before the deadline

again, Stephen Curry's greatness masks a lot of the FO's blatant incompetence

spurs prolly did it the best i've ever seen

....but of course, they only had ONE young player in Kawhi. And Kawhi was pretty NBA ready as a rookie

It’s crazy because lacob is ending up just like the owners folk say are a detriment to their teams.. Instead of being a hands off owner you want to be hands on and completely fukking up the product..

It’s crazy we had the #2 pick and just let him go for basically nothing… Literally only a 3 game college sample and nothing else and you bank your pick on that shyt when it was guys that you literally had multiple tapes on you could have taken not named Ant Edwards…

When Steph hang up his shoes lacob better give Steph the team to own.. Took the dubs from shyt to sugar literally

We know how this gone play out post-Curry. It's gone be like Phil with the triangle where they get so stuck on their system instead of adjusting to the player's skillsets.

Man it's not the system. What players wouldn't benefit from ball movement and split cuts and dhos and pick and rolls, they run everything.....these nikkas just suck. There is some merit to that record w/out Steph, I don't wanna act like I'm blind to it. It is appalling :pachaha: ....but shyt man, these last few years has highlighted that the issues have started at the top. Kerr needs his Jordan/Kobe as much as Phil did and every other all time coach. It's about winning championships. Not getting a pat on the back for doing what say Mike Brown is doing this year....cuz at the end of the day them nikkas not finna do shyt. But I mean I'll concede that Steph has carried that cac too, I just don't think he's the number 1 problem.

Steph has just made a habit of getting a lot out of a little, despite the narrative being the inverse so let's just start by putting respect on that nikka name. fukk Magic, GOAT PG no doubt. It's been so many fringe NBA players/trash for every other team role players we've had goofies overrate over the course of this dynasty that I don't even feel like naming em. That 2021 season was just proof positive that Steph just being out there covers a lot of gaping holes in a roster. ALOT. Look what he did with that roster man. He's a top 3 impact player ever imo, so of course.....but gahdamn man. You reward that by giving him vets that aren't tryna find their way in the league. That's the problem, it's too many of them type players on the team.

The curtains been pulled, the Wizard of OZ ain't as bright as we thought, and he's just a big p*ssy. Like these cacs deadass have NO IDEA wtf they are doing. I'm putting more respect on Bussdown Jeanie name than these herbs at this point. Frfr

- Looney wouldn't even touch the floor on almost every playoff team
- The majority of you cats say that Draymond wouldn't start for most teams
- Wiggins went to GS and become an All-Star.

Anyone that tries to downplay the system doesn't know what the fukk they're talking about. It's no surprise the same ones who're doing that are Wiseman apologists.

Don't fall for @Squirrel from Meteor Man's bullshyt.

Half of those losses came in 2020 when they had that G-League team out there (they lost 50 games that season), not to mention all the games when Steph, Dray and Klay all didn't play - not just Steph. That stat doesn't take into account when other starters are missing too. They've actually had 7-7 record without Steph (post-shoulder injury) this season, so they've been managed to hold it down without him, even with all the limitations and holes in their squad.

You wanna tell us what offensive skillset Looney has which they should be adjusting to? Is the system not making the most out of Dray's offensive skillset, allowing him to operate as a ball-handler and playmaker? Is the system not making the most out of Klay's skillset, getting him open looks through off-ball screens, DHO, splits and curl actions, because he can't dribble to create his own shot?

Why is it almost every role player that comes onto this squad ends up having a career-best year?

I know you won't respond to this post, this is just for everyone else's benefit to expose your gimmick.

Lol yeah I'm tripping. I forgot all about that 2020 season. nikkas starting Omari Spellman and Paschal and shyt :pachaha:

EDIT: are either even in the league still? But that's the point tho I guess, two more draft picks that I had literally forgot about that didn't amount to shyt

Steph Curry is the system. It doesn’t work if he doesn’t play :bryan: Look at Draymond’s numbers without Steph for all the evidence you need that he would be a fringe starter at best anywhere else.

Looney is a solid role big with good hands that can finish and rebound. That has nothing to do with the system.

Wiggins got the Steph stimulus by being open the entire season and learning how to make an open shot. He also played a lot harder than he did on his previous teams.

Steve Kerr ain’t coaching shyt :pachaha:
