This team is a first round exit waiting to happen

2011-2012 Mavericks just like @Don Homer said
And it’s a damn shame. FO Let key guys go and replaced them with guys who have next to no exp in playing basketball because they played minuscule playoff minutes. And the warriors blew nearly all their lottery picks because they actually suck at scouting talent and drafting. Only Kuminga looks decent and he is extremely unskilled at his natural position

Same difference in essence. Warriors let key guys go just like the Mavs, and are paying for it dearly, just like the Mavs did
Eh, I don’t think Otto nor Gp2 change anything this season considering both practically been injured all year.
The others aren’t worth mentioning :russ:

I don't know what that cracka is talking about when Poole and Klay have to play together in order for this team to survive. With no Steph, there's simply no alternative.

Wiggins doesn't look to score; Dray isn't a scoring threat; Looney isn't a scoring threat.

That's the starting lineup right there.

Yeah but you have to REPLACE their production. Warriors didn’t do that. If the warriors let them walk, their job last offseason was to replace those guys. And they didn’t. They just gifted more mins to mediocre lottery picks and played dudes on two-way contracts

We in the business call that a BAD JOB

Things change in crunch time. These nikkas just take turns trying to do some bullshyt. It’s hideous offense down the stretch of games. It’s a chore

Again, what is the alternative? Who else is gonna take the shots? Wiggins? Dray? Looney?

What would happen to the spacing if Klay and Poole weren't on the floor?

I can't comprehend why the fukk that clown would think that's worthy of commenting on.

Klay isn't the problem
Poole isn't the problem
They're good players and the Warriors need them
But they shouldn't play together!

Straight rockhead shyt.

With no Steph it means they HAVE to be out there, together. There is literally no other alternative.

Warriors have had some of the right breaks go their way to extend the run past the initial few titles, but it always felt like the around the margins moves had to matter at some point. They'd have a string of good moves (obviously the bench was great during the pre-KD title years), then just a string of ass (basically nothing of value off the bench during KD's time), and it'd keep going back and forward. I thought Paschal looked good on what were clearly just bad teams that gave him opportunity, Poole was a gem, GP2 was an incredible find, and then you swing back to basically gambling that Wiseman would save the reoccurring center problem and taking Moody, which I didn't completely understand. He was completely content floating around on offense every Arky game I watched and didn't seem to be able to find any niche to impact in that regard. S/o to GS for at least getting the most out of his physical tools though ig.

I just don't get going for 3 project pieces. I assume you intend on developing one of Kum/Moody to have to flip, but that was such a solid draft to me, I woulda thunk you could get two bonafide contributors. Hindsight is 20/20 though

2021 draft was one more the more amazing drafts we’ve had in a while. And if you’re gonna do this “two timeline” bullshyt, you REALLY gotta nail the draft. And they didnt

A young core of Moody+Wise+Kuminga is easily the worst young core in the NBA.

one is a bust of a #2 pick that just got traded on his rookie deal, one is an extremely slow player that only has the ability to shoot, and isn’t even shooting well, and the third is a decent defender but is so unpolished offensively, he has to play like a center. The jig was up when they were all on the floor together and getting run off the court by summer league guys in July

The pelicans had zero lottery picks and managed to get Trey Murphy+Herb Jones+Jose Alvarado, which is a much better core. And let’s not forget the warriors FO gave a guaranteed contract to a guy they took in the 2nd round and is out for the season with a jones fracture :snoop:

The point is the back end of the roster is so bad they can’t get any production so they have to play their core playoff minutes in February. The “foundational 6” were setup to fail. Either they play amazing for 4 quarters or lose, because they have no margin for error with this terrible roster

I’m fine with the lineup, the issue is the process. They play some of the worst ball I’ve seen down the stretch

It’s literally just running along the perimeter with quick DHOs from Draymond. Everyone knows it’s coming and it looks like garbage. If they can’t find a way to get easier shots then this is gonna keep happening.

It's the best source of offense that they have -- for better or worse.

We've seen how loose Poole is with his handle when trying to create for himself down the stretch (I remember everyone in here saying he can't be trusted to handle the ball in the clutch), and Klay can't dribble to save his life. Wiggins can't create for himself or anyone else, and he's reluctant to stamp his authority on a game.

I don't mind the process because they were generating good looks, it's just one of those games where Klay and Poole went cold at the same time.
