Why would bytching by racist incels magically lead to more Black comic book characters? :mjlol: :mjlol: :mjlol:

Carol Danvers and Ms. Marvel have been around since the 1960s and yet that movie was a bulls-eye target for their agenda.

The Acolyte was all completely original characters and yet they were still attacked fervently by the anti-woke mob.

They don't give a shyt about "race swapping", they just don't want to see black or female leads.

Remember when 80yo Clint Eastwood single-handedly punked all the Black AND Hmong gangs in his neighborhood, including full-on fist fights?

When a 150lb Brad Pitt could take any beating from any fighter twice his size and then knock him out with one punch?

John Wick has killed 439 professional killers without losing his life.

The entire Fast and the Furious cast gains two additional superpowers in each sequel.

The Marvel franchise has not staged a single realistic fight scene from Day One, EVERY encounter is determined entirely by plot armor.

But have a woman involved? THAT is when we need our action movie realism to finally kick in. :mjlol: :mjlol: :mjlol:
:mjlol:No one should be expecting realism from action movies. In the 1st place especially not from superhero movies lol. The entire point of the genre is to do the impossible. That means making old ass Clint Eastwood, Harrison Ford, and a 110lb woman. Kick ass and walk around like the biggest bad asses on earth. If you want to criticize the movie’s writing, acting, or cinematography fine. But talking about “that’s not realistic” when talking about action movies is crazy

If you know the history of Hollywood these cycles of restriction and freedom go back to the silent era. They had The Hayes code during the Golden Age of Hollywood.

Then the baby boomers grew up and reacted to the conservatism and myth of America, which ushered in the Scorsese, Coppola etc generation. The 70s I would say is till the most politically incorrect, unrestricted era of filmmaking. The best films of the 70s would not get made in any other generation.

The 80s were a reaction to that the cynicism of the previous decade and the films mirrored a yearning for the myth of the 1950s golden age and heroic american man. Quentin Tarantino considers the 80s the worst decade ever for movies.

The 90s were very balanced, there was something for everyone; weird independent shyt, mainstream stuff, animation etc......... Every point of view was represented pretty much.

I think things took a turn for the worse in the 2000's after 9/11 but before 2007/2008 financial collapse. Social media instead of bringing people together has made people more divided, impatient and intolerant of people outside their 'group'. The major studios feel like they have to lean, heavily one way or the other to reach and maintain an audience.

The solution to all of this is to find and trust great writers without an agenda.
