I know Resetera having a meltdown right now. I'm debating on whether to get the Deluxe Edition or Standard.

EDIT: Just copped the Deluxe. They not even allowing threads over there on Hogwarts

For a community supposedly to be about altruistic intentions. This is gross crusade against writers and developers that poured their life into this game.

So, it's stupid and willfully ignorant.

JK Rowling has zero involvement in this game. No matter how much money that she makes from royalties... She can't scrub out the existence of trans community and their advancement in growing their culture.

Boycotting or supporting the franchise doesn't support or destroy the community. It just makes these try hard loser feel relevant and that's why the cry for boycott is so loud and superficial. Some people just want clout to act like they are better than other by doing what is perceived to be a "good cause". Next Tuesday rolls around... And they are on the next big thing to stay relevant. It's honestly pretty irrelevant and grandstanding over some bullshyt. This is bigger than her. Even if she gets a royalty check.

Eh, they’re just an small echo chamber, game is number 1 on amazon, psn, and stream right now. Harry Potter is too big of an IP to ‘cancel’

Honestly you don't need it to play this, it's a 200 y/o prequel. Besides easter eggs, nothing seems to connect it to the original series.

they have a humble little thread where they are openly discussing the game and all of its minor details, totally exposing how silly it was to ban it in the first place. what they really meant was "no positive discussion of the game". they look silly as hell.

Yeah i might actually watch the movies after playing this. one of the devs said there will be easter eggs to the origins of things that appear int he films.
I never finished the main movie series, i fell off after half blood prince, and i think i missed that last two strange beasts movies too.
