Crazy amount of irony with this game…capital G Gamers buying the game to spite crybaby libs, and crybaby libs boycotting the game because of trans rights/representation, meanwhile the game has trans characters and non-binary gender options

Generally when a company has that much confidence in their product. It's pretty obvious that it's good. We saw how WB market Gotham Knights. Night and Day difference... They didn't allow people to play it till 2 weeks before launch.

I have a feeling this game would be doing elden ring numbers (critically) without the controversy behind it. Looks like it will be one of the best selling games of the year, shyt is number one on every storefront right now

If it wasn't Harry Potter it would be scoring worst.
Alot of the gaming critics are massive Harry Potter fans. I criticize this Harry Potter fanboyism among gaming critics during the preview event.

This person spent the first five to six minutes of the video gushing about the game doing basic open world shyt. He is gushing about npcs having conversations in the background,collecting shyt, being able to swim, certain events being triggered when you get to certain part of the Academy. This all basic open world shyt. These things should be expected in a Modern AAA open world game.


Most of these previews are from Hard-core Harry Potter fans who are simply happy that they are getting a big budget Harry Potter game that isn't completely ass.

The combat and the traversal is the only thing I've seen from this game that seems good.

So far this game seems like a generic open world game that is being carried by the Harry Potter brand.

I initially predicted this game would score a 73-79 on metacritic but after the preview event I upped it to 76-82. This game was never gonna get bad reviews.The JK Rowling controversy was never going to impact this game score. The gaming critics love the Harry Potter universe too much to review bomb it.This game was going to sell even with bad reviews. The Harry Potter fandom is massive

The trans shyt was always a stupid reason to hate on this game. They make up like 0.02% of the population and jk aint said anything wrong from what I seen. Only women can have periods is that really a hot take

its a mental illness imo but I got depression so Im technically crazy too so let thems trehs live. Im just not about them impeding on others for their own delusions. And this coming from someone who helped a breh lose weight so they could transition, but at some point we need to stop the pearl clutching. 60% of an open world game appeal is the setting and mythos... So, I don't understand how anyone can argue generic open world generalization when there are zero games in this setting.
