Really amazing how much of the Democratic Party thinks the party can only be failed and not fail us. Conditioned to accept mediocrity in the name of so called pragmatism and wonder why people check out and then the Republican side gets more rabid.

I'm fairly convinced that if you 'leveled the playing field' and gave everybody $25,000 to start, then within 5 years, most of the people who are currently rich would be rich again and those who are currently broke would be broke again.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of conservatives seem to interpret the 2nd Amendment as well as police powers that way. Imagine if you actually had to have committed a crime first before you could be legally shot and killed.Imagine thinking taking an innocent life is a constitutional right...

You are purposely conflating stand your grounds laws and/or state aggression against blacks with the right to bear arms.
It's not important whether I conflate them, we're talking about their opinions. If you told conservatives that they would be prosecuted if they killed any innocent person, that they could only shoot people in the process of committing an actual, felonious crime and under no other circumstances, they would argue that their fundamental rights were being violated.
