Ilhan Omar is the bravest politician in DC.
i literally just came in to comment on her. its insane, you cant say ANYTHING about a foreign fukkin country doing illegal bullshyt, they twist anything you say, clearly by her saying "all about the Benjamins" its just a reference to political lobbying but of course they twisted it, I guess, into what her saying jews like money ? reminds me of there pearl clutching over "river to the sea" you really cant say shyt, i know some of the younger politicians want to be quit witted on twitter but i really think they just have to stick to pure factual statements that cant be twisted in anyway when it comes to this issue.

and btw chelsea clinton can sit down, nobody asked you what you thought

There's absolutely nothing antisemitic or controversial about what she said. It's so fukking annoying how they're going after her when she was pretty clear in her words. How is it antisemitic to say that the AIPAC does have a heavy influence on our politics? It's not hearkening back to old conspiracies about Jewish people. It's recognizing how lobbying works.

One thing that has been bouncing around in my head is how the public has become accustomed to judging actions taken 5-10 years ago with morality formed in 2019.

I think it is frustrating because Kamala Harris was more progressive than most AGs in the country 5-10 years ago and has only gotten more progressive since then:

ProgressivePunch: Senate Members by score / All issues

Back in the day, she made decisions that are viewed more harshly in 2019 but I think it is ironic that she isn't given the opportunity to progress like the average American has. The average American was against Same Sex Marriage and Marijuana Legalization 5-10 years ago but side-eye Kamala for enforcing policies that were supported at the time. It is Hillary Clinton-esque imo

That's good point. However, when you have on your record: not investigating police shootings, preventing cops from having body cameras, and trying to have corrupted DNA results admitted as evidence, then not only can you judge a prosecutor on 2019 standards, but also on 2014 standards. The right and wrong of those things were known in 2014 too.

10 years ago, yeah. 5 years ago, nah. Certainly not the average American in California.

Not sure what you are referring to by quoting that Wikipedia page? Here is Kamala Harris' statement 5 years ago:

Kamala Harris Speaks Out On 'Inevitability' Of Marijuana Legalization

That it is pretty in line with what she said in her Breakfast Club interview.

That could be double talk for "by the time they figure it out, it won't be my problem"

But here's an article on her weed stance as well.

With her prosecutorial record under fire, Kamala Harris changes her tune on weed
