My ex-fiance worked at an STD clinic for awhile. Part of her job was to call people when their results came in. This was back when the blood work would take days to come back. The amount of young people that had HIV, syphilis, and other STD's was crazy. A lot of the people that got tested never came back to get their results. They probably knew they already had HIV but didn't want official proof so those people were going around spreading it to people. This was almost ten years ago so I can only imagine it's gotten worse.
