Hitman Absolution Thread

There is definitly a TON of ways to go about pretty much every level in regards to how you approach a level, strategize, and actually execute it. This game is incredibly deep. Everything I wish Splinter Cell Conviction was. I've done level 2 (king of chinatown) 4 different ways so far and I can only imagine how many possibilities there actually are.

This is the Game of the Year in my opinion. It was Max Payne to me until now. I've played enough of Assassin's Creed 3 to say without hesitation that Hitman is a better game.

The "Run For Your Life" mission....yikes! I can see that being the reason the scores were so low for some reviewers. The mission is brutally challenging and long (Im playing on Hard) and ENTIRELY stealth-based. You have the option to blast through, but thats just a sloppy mess and no fun. Its totally linear and entirely based on trial-and-error and LUCK

fukk am I glad thats over Its like they took the monotonous hide-and-seek aspects of Deus Ex:Human Revolution and freebased it...

Im back to what seems like a "normal" Hitman mission inside of a titty bar

I REALLY hope theres no more missions like Run For Your Life...

This game is fukking dope. I play on Expert I believe..Just beat run for your life. Oh my goodness, shyt was something else. never been a hitman fan, played blood money years ago for like 10mins and

This game is turning me into a psychopath. On the Saints mission in the fields I murked one of the Saints near what I thought was just a container. I put her in there and I saw that triangle button flash. I hit the button and it ground up her body and spit it out like a meat grinder.

I put like 5 more bodies in there and ground them up after that.

I'm relatively bad at it to. When I play with patience things go pretty well, but when I get impatient I just turn it off.

I mean its real easy to just kill targets the boring way (garrote, silent pistol) but to get creative I'm awful for example

the chinatown level. I can kill the cop in the alley and kill the target while hes taking a piss. And i can kill the dealer and kill the target in the apartment. I just cant find the poison nor can i change into a disguise without getting caught

I don't get how I'm not suspicious as a bald headed dude in a black suit with a bar code on the back of my neck but as soon as I change into a street vendor, I'm instantly spotted from across the board through a crowd of ppl

Damn. They need to fix this.

The disguise system aint perfect, but it does make sense to a certain degree. Aside from a few hiccups like Chinatown, its pretty realistic to have other guards, chefs, mechanics etc be very suspicious of you.

They couldve ironed it out to fix some ridiculous errors (stealing a costume with a mask but not wearing the mask? Disguising yourself as a known coke dealer with no consequence etc etc) but it makes sense for the most part. A bunch of bikers are hanging out, you steal their disguise, they immediately spot you, fair enough. A mansion is being guarded by a private security detail....you steal their disguise, theyre on to you right away etc

I finally beat it today and its a good game. If youre having doubts, wait till a price-drop. The fact that about 30% of the levels are open-ended and stress-free is the big disappointment, but for what it is, the game aint bad.

I get where they were going with the disguises, but the execution just isn't that good. When you have on a generic disguise (cop, swat team, etc) EVERY OTHER PERSON at that rank shouldn't just be suspicious of you immediately...ESPECIALLY if you have on headgear. LOL



The only way I've seen them work as I'd expect is when you work hard for a rare disguise and then you can move with ease.

The rat poison is on one of the food vendors stations. You can walk up and swipe it if you walk up to the right station.
