Episodic release. Every month (I think) they drop a new mission, every week they launch special events and challenges for the existing game. Besides the "story objectives" there are alternative challenges for each mission to lengthen replay value. The first episode comes with two additional tutorial-like missions.
I think the physical full game is supposed to drop somewhere this summer so you can also choose to wait for that.
