My first post was about Jim and Hitmaka, who released an album and dissed Hit Boy during the press run. Hence the point of the entire thread. BTW an album that will not debut in the top 20. Album numbers aren't final yet but it ain't looking good champ. I'm the numbers guy as you know. My entire point...once again, is how can Hitmaka shyt on Nas/Hit for sales while promoting an album that's gonna sell less than all of the King's Disease albums. People should just enjoy making music instead of sending shots they can't handle coming back in their direction.

What’s impact in this day and age? Even albums by the biggest acts out seem to come and go. Nas and Hit Boy are at least making music that their fans will be playing years from now. What more can you ask.

Show me a rapper 30 years into their career has even Nas level of relevance. Rappers are lucky to make it 10 years. As many records as 50 Cent sold the prime of his rap career was like 6 years.

Jay and Nas went down mostly different paths. Jay chased popular trendy music with all the most popular producers and dumbed down subject matter. He even admitted as much. At times Nas flirted with that but he mostly made the music he wanted to make popularity be damned.
