An impact in what sense? Like is Nas the most popular star in the world? No. Is he more talked about in the culture in 2023 than Ice Spice is? No. Should he be selling higher on Billboard? Probably. But for a veteran indie rapper who is about to turn 50, he can sell out MSG (speaking of that, which other NY rappers could sell out the Garden besides Jay, Nicki, Cardi, 50 and maybe Wu as a group?), has 10 million plus monthly Spotify listeners, usually still debuts on the Top 5 Billboard amongst female pop stars, is winning Grammy's, so he's probably right where he needs to be.
The HB albums made an impact to rap fans. Mostly everyone is acknowledging he's having a great late career album run and putting out great music. Not too bad for an older indie artist who barely even pre-promoted his last two albums lol.

Yes. They have a short lived impact amongst the core hip hop fan base of a certain breadth or knowledge or age.
If the point that people are making is that they didn’t have a significant impact, or an impact with a younger or less knowledgeable fan base, then I would agree. But the point is that there is NO impact, which as I’ve proven, is false.
