I spent every Summer of my youth in Harlem and The Bronx with family, so I’m pretty familiar with how NY get down…

…but in my entire life of East Coastin’, I have NEVER heard anybody refer to weed as “Tical”.

I think with A LOT of slang, nikkas be making shyt up HOPING that it will catch on.

I remember one time I read an interview with E-40, where he was discussing doin’ it big when you got money, and he was talmbout how they be “sky ballin’”. I was like

lol a lot of shyt never catches on, or at least, will never be picked up by me. What cracks me up is when rappers say some shyt like '.40 cal call it a black beast', like you really refer to your gun in conversation as a 'black beast'? I was telling a friend of mine this shyt the other day, rappers come up with some nonsense, 'coke transactions on the phone call it blow jobs'. No, no one does, and no one will. There are hundreds of these. 'Call it' punch lines....really?

To be real.........if any hip hop slang catch on........the hood pretty much dead it....on contact
well in my necks of the woods we do.......if anything that was local or regional, once them other folks go to lettin it come out they mouth.....the hood pretty much abandon it.......we dead it

i remember seeing one of them other folks pull up on some Spinners actually playin the song
"Ridin Spinners".......some folks just catch on way to late........
