I think him invoking and quoting Tupac is what identified him as hip hop, but unless you read the whole story you wouldn't have caught that

Nah it's more like deep down we don't think all Black people
are active participants in Hip Hop Culture, being "Black"
doesn't suddenly make you "Hip Hop".
If anything, I'd say that's EXACTLY what racists do,
especially when they need an excuse for their racism.
