With the Diddy situation, it will be the nail in the coffin. :yeshrug:

I also saw some french rappper accusing Bambatta of rape
Nah the deterioration of talent was the beginning of the end. The charts this year told the story. Let's stop with sensationalism. Diddy case didn't tank the genre lol.

I think capitalism driven Hip Hop might be slow for the next while, especially with Trump taking office. It will sound more local and more conscious. Country music will be the dominant genre singing the praises of capitalism.

Country will just be what country has always been. A niche genre supported by a mainly strong middle class to upper middle fanbase

I agree to a certain extent..... hip-hop is damn near whiteboy ish to me now.... hip-hop will always have a place in my heart but I've pretty much moved on from it.

Overall it does nothing for me now.

I need "soul" in my life.

Give me jazz, R&B , gospel and some southern soul music any day over modern-day so called "hip-hop"

How is "capitalism driven hip hop" affected by a political election??? You realize Trumps already been president before?? :mjlol:

The idea of a musical genre having eternal pop culture dominance hasn’t borne out to be true. I’m sure fans of jazz and rock and roll once held your opinion.

But heres the thing, those are all play and buy instruments genres.

This is just a pick up a microphone genre. Rapping aint going nowhere, hip-hop might fade like Jazz. But Rapping nah. Not everyone can sing.

So, youre talking about poor whites. You think thats their core that supports them. So you think the majority off white folks in the South and Middle America are trailer park dwellers. And not mostly middle to upper middle class, ok.
