that 'paperwork' is registering the gun. this NY law wants to extend that requirement to private sales, as well as ammo. plus it wants to make that data more accessible

Or let's keep passing laws that criminals will ignore so everyone feels like they have done something. God forbid we actually deal with the root cause of the violence in this country (economic issues, mental illness, etc).

How about they actually enforce some of the laws that were already on the book. Maybe they fund the ATF so they can investigate and prosecute straw purchaser
