It's sort of a trick that I'm surprised Billboard hasn't tried to clamp down on.

Basically, most Greatest Hits albums regardless of the artist sell well because people stream the classic songs all the time and it gets counted towards the compilations.

So, a lot of Eminem fans are streaming his hit songs like Lose Yourself on Curtain Calls instead of the albums they came from which contributes to the album selling well. It's not CD sales but it's streaming sales and having a "Greatest Hits CD" is basically an unintentional cheat code in this day and age.
