So future drake 21 savage Travis Scott Kanye Kendrick and Eminem…makes sense
Gen Z rappers failed.

Eminem is about to be a grandpa

Ye is unc status and almost two-time divorcee

Future is 40

21 Savage is 32 Savage

Drake is going through a mid-life crisis

And these Gen Z rappers still can’t take the game over :wow:

I never met a Travis Scott fan in real life now that I think about it. Who is his demographic?
Maybe it depends on where you live. I don’t know any black people who rock with him like that. But he’s featured on a lot of other rappers’ tracks. I assume his demographic is (mostly white) teenagers-early 20’s who don’t care for substance in rap.

I think the industry wanted him to be a more watered down pop version of Kanye and they succeeded numbers-wise. But he never won over the hood like Kanye afaik

Juice WRLD and XXX looked like they were going to be the ones to break through but they died. Kodak still only 27 but he can’t stay out of trouble

I mostly live and work around other black people and yeah I never heard anyone play him. I was super surprised when I saw my nephew playing Fortnite a couple years back and he was heavily featured. I had no idea he was that big

Gen Z rappers don’t have a core fan base and that is not good for the future of the rap game.

All the older rappers are still going strong and the younger rappers don't have any staying power outside of a hot single or something.

Wasn't the only newer acts who sold well was Glorilla and Rod Wave or something?

It’s incredibly hard for a rapper to crossover to casual listeners with how disjointed everyone’s listening habits are.
