We won't know her duties unless we see her employment agreement, which we won't see. This is when lawyers come in to interpret and apply a defense.

The police union provides lawyers.

She's a captain, not a beat cop.

Captains don't go to calls and write tickets. They supervise the lieutenants who supervise the sergents and the sergents are the ones who supervise your regular police officers.

So her duty is light, unless there's a major incident they rarely leave the precinct department or headquarters.

Like I said if she had failed to do her job they would've explicitly stated she did so. She didn't fail or atleast they haven't stated she failed any of her duties.
