I'd really have a hard time believing Leyt actually hold the views he presents if I hadn't spoken to him on our podcasts.

I agree. What shocked me the most though was when dude said he was in his 30's.

I can understand someone dabbling in all that pseudoscientific, conspiratorial new age mysticism nonsense in their late teens or early 20's, when they're young, naive and just starting to really process the macro world outside of themselves and cultivate their worldview.
