They lost money on the gameThey’re demise in console gaming is due to him leaving not because he stayed. Metal Gear Solid V is noted as one of the best stealth/3rd person shooters to exist.
He gave Konami their last hit game
They lost money on the game
That’s for one year. Having an increase in profit on the year the game releases, doesn't mean the game was worth the investment. Why lie, friend?
MGS V sells 6m, pushes Konami digital profits up by 150%

That’s not what you link says.Breh, im not playing if’s, but’s, probabilities and the alignment of planets.
I just showed you konami ain’t lose no money on MGSV with actual numbers from Konami themselves. In what reality does a company generate profits from a game launch and later on lose money from it?
Make sense
What they made off the game was not worth the investment according to their own management and shareholders which is why they got rid of kojima. He even wanted a higher budget for the game. If they let him get his way they would have gone bankrupt.
Kojima stans"Phil Spencer is leading us to the promise land!"
"The nerve of this no talent irrelevant clown Kojima thinking anyone wants to hear his story".
Only in the Arcadium and in video game stan world does this doc not make sense. I'm not even trying to defend the doc itself.
It's just weird that for example, movies traditionally give 90% of the credit to the director and 10% of the credit to the actors and completely ignore the 100's of people that worked on the project yet here we are drawing the line with Hideo Kojima and pretending the man hasn't made any contributions to gaming in general in the last 20 years. Even with music, albums take teams to make but the sole credit goes to the artist. Music videos...are called [insert artist's name]'s music video meanwhile completely overlooking the people that actually made the video, came up with the storyboards, lighting, staging, etc.
Not justifying it...again...it's a disingenuous to pop up and say "look at this arrogant has been kojima trying to make a doc" meanwhile, this sort of thing is commonplace and generally accepted. Funny how a leader can't take credit for anything but has to take 100% of the blame when something goes left. (See Kojima vs Konami).

They fired his ass what other proof do you need.

He ruined MGS5 because he was reaching too much.
