:rudy: Sure breh, that's exactly what I said. :comeon:

It's really impossible to have a good discussion about dude's movie on here because of the nut riding. :sadcam: Lemme leave. Continue as you all were. I don't have time for it today.

It's implied in your post, stop backtracking and playing the victim.

You are catching feelings (anti white messages)

Keep on exposing yourself.

Tariq Nasheed (b.July 1st in Detroit, Michigan) (sometimes nicknamed Tariq Elite,[1] King Flex,[2] K-Flex,[3] ) is a controversial[4][5] author, documentary film producer, media personality, Internet radio host, relationship expert,[6] and social commentator, focusing on the psychology of dating and African-American social history.[1][4][7]

Nasheed's books on dating and finding women include The Mack Within, The Elite Way, and The Art of Mackin,[8][9] which has been called "something of a classic."[3] Nasheed also wrote an advice book for female readers, Play or Be Played: What Every Female Should Know About Men, Dating, and Relationships.[8][10]

His television appearances include The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,[11] Late Night with Conan O'Brien, MTV's Made, and the Current TV series Joe Gets.[12]

He has been quoted on a wide array of issues, including race relations,[13] intimate relationships and infidelity,[10] and U.S. politics and campaign finance.[14] Nasheed has also been a regular speaker on college campuses on the topics of sex and relationships.[4][15]

Nasheed produced the 2011 documentary film Hidden Colors, on the history of African and aboriginal peoples.[7] The film had a limited theatrical release around the United States before being made available on DVD.[16]

Going to see it tomorrow night.

:pachaha: You literally can't say anything about dude short of praise without encountering drama from dudes on the Internet.

I'll just leave it at this general idea: While Hidden Colors is great as a form of promoting racial pride and at a good number of points, knowledge, there's a reason the "documentary" hasn't been able to pass a certain sect of people. There's a reason why pretty much no professor of the Diaspora even at HBCUs (where prodessors can literally shyt on white people all day with no consequence) will show this movie to their students. But of course a dude who has built his name on "mackin" and negative black images is more credible than people who are actual black historians with +20 to 30 years research and study so :whoa: @ all y'all getting ready to attack.

Why then does it take a guy with a "mackin background" to organize something like this while those specialized in the matter stay quiet?

People here trying to discredit the creator because they can't fathom how the doc was able to be released in theaters without a backlash, so they try to discredit the speakers in the film because the useless so called academic people aren't making rebuttals.

That's the name of the game....from the SWP's, to the Sotomayor's, to the Tariq's. None of these BM are owned by any white entity, so the name of the game is: "DISCREDIT THE INDIVIDUAL".....it's a common go-to play. :manny:

why is an enterprising entrepreneur who is the fore father of pickup artist telling blacks about their history
Like this. I'm assuming a cauc.

:whew: These government plants are exposing themselves something serious today

They are waiting for Tavis Smiley, Cornel West, Michael Eric Dyson, Boyce Watkins, Mellissa Harris Perry etc to cosign the film before they accept that the doc is credible.

This is how the sheep think with everything. That's why we have no variety in anything, just the same ol' crap.

If an upcoming black director makes a cool independent black sci-fi movie, the critics will pick it apart unless it's being accepted by the mainstream.

It's the same thing with music, Immortal Technique is good but he doesn't make any songs that can make me dance in the club and no one really knows him.

So many excuses and deflections all the time.

Nah, I would't consider any of them to be "credible".

Why does it take a guy with a "mackin background" to organize something like this while those specialized in the matter stay quiet?
That's the thing, they don't. That's the problem with most people in this thread. The first time they became interested in black history was because of this man/movie and they can't fathom that anything existed before and they only know the information (false and truth) presented in the movie

When's the last time you went in sat in on a class about the Diaspora at any HBCU?

What other diaspora related documentaries/movies have you seen?

Who are your favorite conscious black film makers?

How do you feel about third world cinema? What's your favorite third world cinema film?

What are you favorite social conscious black American films?

Who are your favorite socially conscious black authors?

Who are your favorite socially conscious black teachers? Who do you take guidance for information from?

Can you name any answer to these questions that does not involve anyone directly associated with this movie?

It's implied in your post
It's actually not. I have spoken out on here a number of times about how white historians don't like to tell history for what it is.

If what you are saying is true, why did I just say I'd show the movie to someone who is not familiar with African/World history as a general starting point? :what:

I never said the academics listed are historians. I mentioned them since they are part of the mainstream .

How come none of the so called credible black historians have had any docs like this in the theaters, PBS, History Channel etc?

Because all of them will be seen as militant and just trying to cause confusion.

Let's not talk about the backlash Frances Cress Welsing and Shahrazad Ali got just for being on talk shows in the 80s/90s.

All hell broke loose on those daytime talk shows which is why we have watered down garbage today to keep people asleep.

You said some people were waiting for them to co-sign something, when that's not the case.

That's cause them 2 chicks are bat shyt crazy my dude. They are jokes. Even people who aren't bound by the mainstream and who shun such away do not fukk with these people. :damn:

I hope and pray that you all find what you're looking for though. I really do. If this is your only main source of information to cite (which I'm sure it is if you didn't notice the false things in the doc, that's okay because it's a very good starting point), then I'd encourage you to do more research for yourself.

I am actually a very big African and black diaspora history head, an even bigger black film head. They are subjects that I am very passionate about and things I have been studying for a while. So when I do see wrong things being stated or inferred, it's a problem. Y'all can call me "c00n", "government plant", or whatever, but I never see any of you in threads posting more info about black history, I never see any of you who are knowledgeable about black films, I never see any of you talking about black authors, etc. And I think that's for a reason. It's not something many people have really researched. Many of you watch 1 film and you think you know it all. :pachaha: My thread on SOHH about black history/facts/information was straight flop status unless it was me posting in it by myself. It's damn near that here. So miss me with all those ad-hominems.

America has reached a point that if nothing is cosigned by the mainstream media, it's not valid.

This is my biggest problem with people today. I remember reading a thread on here where some people were cosigning GMO foods.

I was like what the hell is going on.

They had a premiere screening over here on Friday but I was oncall for work so I couldn't make it. I'll just buy the DVD when it's released.
