Cosign. Unfortunately though, everyone always talks about what needs to be done, but no one actually does it. That's the most frustrating part about these so called "scholars" and why for the most part I never follow any of their works and I'm not part of the "conscious community."



What you got planned breh? I got some things in the works myself. Gonna start teaching some classes to show cats how to get into the IT game without needing a college degree. I'm also planning on creating a black digital yellow pages. A place where you can easily search for and look up black owned and operated businesses in your neighborhood. Once my finances get to the point where I can invest in those things, I'm gonna go ham on them.

To the second part, I actually am a venture capitalist(my uncle owns the company). We've invested in many black owned businesses here in the States, in London, and in Nigeria. I mentored a lil niglet for a while (), but we had to break contact(he moved). We still keep in contact every once in a while though.

Once I graduate I plan on launching my own tech company, and hire all blacks. Once I start making serious revenue then I will invest in other black owned tech companies. To the bolded, I had something similiar in mind, a place where blacks in Africa and the African diaspora could easily do business with each other, and find black owned businesses.

This looks like another one of those black empowerment threads. Guess I'll repost my plans since it seems relevant here:

I've been severely depressed for years but as for as personal development goes I plan on going back to school to study business administration and finance. Ultimate I want to own my own bank and finance scientific research (i.e.: stem cell research, nanoscience, space exploration, etc.) as well as infrastructure (i.e.: build roads, schools, hospitals, provide energy/electricity) in Africa.

I want my personal success to extend to my family and future generations. Here is a repost from another topic:

I want to start a family where we emulate some of the characteristics and traditions of European royal families, the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, etc. Where there will be kings, queens, princes, etc. within the internal family structure. All of my children will inherit a piece of my wealth. My sons will be encouraged to marry other blacks (I don't want a white woman to divorce my son and steal all of his money). My children will also be encouraged to become bankers/investors/people of great power.

More importantly I will have to preserve the wealth within the family by, perhaps, promoting cousin intermarriage (Rothschild: Rothschild family - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ; Discover Magazine: The latest in science and technology news, blogs and articles - Go Ahead, Kiss Your Cousin) for my grandchildren (my current family is too 'Americanized' to even consider this).

My ultimate goal is to establish a black banking dynasty throughout North and South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Basically do the same thing the Rothschilds did by spreading across Europe but only on a global scale.

You sounding a lot like me breh. I started my IT consulting company a few years back and I hire an all black staff. I'll PM you the site so you can take a look. I had a job in Chicago at a doctors office and when I was interviewing cats I only had one requirement, he had to be black. Dude I ended up going with was real thorough too, the client loved him (old white broad). One of the best feelings in the world is hiring another black dude and giving him the when you see him.

In a few years, I also have a website (used by people in HR) I'm planning on launching. I'm gonna try to fund the entire thing myself (about 100k initially) and I'm mad excited. Talked it over with my girl a few weeks back and she was like

I'm also planning on linking up with cats back in Africa too. I've been reading a lot about what Garvey did and my ultimate goal is to finish out his plan, send a team of talented brothers to Africa, bring in business and commerce, and ultimately try to convince others to ultimately repatriate back home.

I tried to ask the bul Tariq nasheed to make a reading list of books he read cause I was listening to the podcast where he debated the undercover racist and Tariq was coming off the top with facts like it was nothing...

Maybe us coli brehs can start a reading list where we give a short synopsis of the books we suggest and why we think it is important to read it. Or we can all ask the nikka Tariq to make a reading list so when he gets the same question from different people he will put something together. :thinking:
