Im Irish and heavy drinking is definitely part of the grieving process. It can often get out of hand but its different.

Usually, people arent getting shytfaced and dancing around the casket like retards tho.

There is usually a very conservative Catholic funeral proceeding, and then people party somewhere else later in the evening. The idea is that you "celebrate the life" like its one final party for that person, a parting gift to them.

This aint even a "race" issue. The traditional sad melancholy CACish funeral is far from an ideal mourning scenario IMO. Im not sure where else this type of thing is going on, but Chicagos youth is really really lost and confused man. Its really sad...
