I dropped X-Men. At the comic shop on Wednesday when one of the employees was pulling my box, I told him to remove X-Men from my pull list. I don't like the fact that Moira is now a mutant and that EVERY mutant is welcome on Krakoa. I mean it's obvious that Krakoa is effecting the mutants because a lot are acting out of character but I'm not really enjoying what I'm reading. I mean it's different than what we've had in decades but I'm just not feeling it. I actually was enjoying the last Uncanny run with Cyclops putting the team back together and him and Logan were rocking their old costumes again. It felt fun and I was excited. If something good pops off I'll check it out but I'm done with X-Men for now.

I like the Utopia through Schism stuff...even though the schism made no sense...but a lot of these ideas were used there, better. Cyke extended a welcome invitation to all mutants, with several exclusions...living on Krakoa was a part of the schism.

I have a problem with Maker 2.0 behaving in a manner that other X-Man would allow. I also didn't really need a "why" there are multiple timelines. And there's the FIve plot armor. However, more Apocalypse is always good, and this is even further building on what has come before.

IMO this is the worst of the more recent X-Men arcs. It's too Avenger-y. A lot of the previous runs over the past decade have been overall good, the only problem came with them running into Marvel rebranding, that reset the entire thing.

As someone who enjoys most of Hickman's work, I feel like y'all have been making the most common mistake with Hickman. Until you know you're in the home stretch of an arc/run, you're just asking for frustration by buying single issues of his as they come out. The entire run ends up being great, but he'll have prettyong stretches of issues that ultimately serve the overall story, but have you stuck with the :martin: for reading it as soon as it came out.

I think he’s overrated

he’s obsessed with overly complicated world building

I loved House of X and Powers of X

when it showed Moira and her mutant power, the nimrod sentinel, the future of mutants and humanity, and how the Phalanx tied in

but now Hickman is going to Hickman

and now we got the X of Swords which is about a bunch of superfluous characters that tie into Apocalypse

I just fast forwarded this issue when the backstory came up and it turned out to be the majority of the issue

One of Moira's lives is what's going down in X of Swords. In one of the flashbacks, Apocalyps's kids are in the background or something.

In general I agree though. I'm one of the people who agree with Alan Moore. Most of these titles should have ended years ago. They're just pulling shyt out their ass now. It's like what these guys said on YouTube about Joker War. James Tynion could have just used Joker's Daughter instead of creating Punchline. But if Punchline catches on down the line, that's money for him. I feel the same way about X of Swords. So now Apocalypse has this whole entire family? He did everything he did for the kids?

DC ain’t paying out for characters they own
