So in 2012-13... passing the title from one guy who wrestles 2 matches a year... to another guy who wrestles 2 matches a year... then have him defend it at Mania against another guy who wrestles 2 matches a year... how in the hell would that help further the company or make/build any new stars? Especially when IF they decided to go down that road again, an HHH/Rock match could stand on its own without the title havin' to be involved?
the reason why is the sanctity of the entire promotion was damaged at mania2ooo. Which ended the boom period,.
So to get a new boom or at least re-establish the Main selling point of watching wwe.
You have to re-establish the legacy of this company.
Plus the tired and true formula of the biggest babyface goes over at mania period.
Which was lost and forever damaged at mania.
Which began the descent into where we are now.
More than 5.1 rating points behind.
What this product should have been still doing.
If not for cripple ache going over at mania 2ooo.
Which damaged why casual and fly by night fans flocked to watch wrasslin to begin with.

People act like HHH isn't trying to move away from the Bodybuilder/Model types that Johnny Ace used to be hellbent on signing. People claim to want wrestling, HHH signs the dudes the IWC cream themselves over, then the IWC complain about them being in the E.
Do people really want to go back to the bodybuilder types who can't wrestle worth a shyt and take up screen time and Models who only use wrestling as a way to further their career and give no fukks about the business?

Ain't a chance in hell revisting a match from 13 years ago and having a different result is going to fix things and instantly make the company go bak to those days. That's just a nutso idea if I ever heard one. If anything, it would be counterproductive and the same thing everyone cries about the E not doing. "They don't make any new stars", but then want the old dudes to main event everything with matches we saw in the '90s.

Punk and Cena having a great match at SS to decide a unified champion, only for fukking Nash to come and powerbomb him so ADR can claim the title and Punk getting marred in Kliq fukkery with Nash texting himself. Punk doing the damn thing with the belt and being the hottest act was axed so Trips and Nash can show who's in charge in front of the camera and behind the scenes and shoot on Punk for no reason other than the fact that he shoots on people. They're fukking 50 years old, no reason to shoot on the hottest act at the time then regaining the title and this reign not having any heat disproves your whole point breh.
And Dbry losing his title in 18 seconds because Trips is still
about that Warrior WM match then getting bogged down in a comedy tag team that's spinning it's wheels is

Only one of the Indy standouts they're doing right by is Cesaro at the moment but we'll see where he is after he drops the title.
Company's in the same place it's been in the past 5 years with less ratings and a couple of good matches every week but it's all good because HHH is here to save us, gimme a fukking break
