Watched a few games... simple observations

games have a feel of college football teams that you have no rooting interest in. Sure it’s football and you can see some good plays etc. but there’s no investment :yeshrug:

The rules make it fresh. Two timeouts is kinda dumb but going for extra points with a regular play is kinda dope :ehh: the kickoff is safer and different but with that much congestion it’s unlikely to ever see a kick return for a touchdown (for those that don’t know both teams except for the kicker and returner line up about 10 yards apart near the returner and can’t move until he catches the ball)

One thing that threatens the long term viability of the league is that it’s a single owner. Vince will need to give up control and sell the teams so that they can actually compete. If the rosters are all being paid by the same entity, there won’t be any long term growth (think strategy with off seasons, free agency, in season trades, etc)

Overall it was good. Not as many B level talent as I thought there would be but it was good football. I do feel though that having it a week after the super bowl is a mistake. I was genuinely interested but I felt like it was meaningless so near to the most meaningful game of the NFL.

:manny:
It's only the first week of course there is gonna be much investment yet, especially if you don't live near one of the cities of the team. Having it after the NFL was a great strategy where people are missing football with no other competition :stopitslime:

Xfl had higher viewership than Lakers warriors

I didn’t mean any criticism. I meant I’m not invested :mjlol: Never said that we should be invested yet, just my true observations watching the games :yeshrug:
