Walking dead. So many things lets start with hilltop after saviors attack

The Sopranos: Butchie from the New York family was the biggest advocate against New Jersey and kept egging on Phil to kill Tony or someone else from the crew even when he refused because he felt whacking a boss was wrong. Then when Phil finally decided to go to war, Butchie agreed and was the main coordinator for the attacks against NJ. Why the sudden change out the blue when the war had just started and acting like Phil was the one being irrational and crying to that retired mob boss who had the sitdown with them about it when that's what he himself kept advocating all along?

Because Butchie surmised that Phil was going to whack him for failing to clip Tony. Butchie came to this conclusion after his pay phone conversation with Phil...followed by Butch blankly staring into the snowy atmosphere.
