I'm a diehard Vikings fan and I usually can't stand Cowherd...but he hit the nail on the head with this.

Actually he didn't. He said AP averaged 2.2ypc but says they lost because of Teddy. Even without a TD they were still up until AP fumbled and Teddy got them in position for a chip shot. If the kicker did his job Teddy is a hero for leading the drive. He missed and Teddy is at fault?:dahell: He totally absolved the kicker of any blame. Who expected Teddy to score TD's in sub zero conditions on a #1 Seattle D that shut them down a few games ago? This was a "whoever makes a mistake loses" game. Teddy didn't make the mistake.

Minny should dump or trade AP. Fix the O line, draft a dynamic RB who can catch, and bring in a vet WR.

I think a fair amount of blame can be placed on the offense as a whole, which is the gist of Cowherd's take. This is the playoffs. If your offense can't muster at least one measly TD, then quite frankly you don't deserve to win. The defense carried the team throughout the season and did so again on Sunday. I've said it all season, at some point the offense was going to need to show up. And in the biggest game of the year, they failed to do so.

:dahell:Neither offense did much because of the weather. If Russ lit it up I'd accept your view but this game had low scoring, field goal contest, 13-10 written all over it. AP was never going to do much. Teddy was never going to light it up. Russ, the hottest pocket passer coming into the playoffs, couldn't move the ball at all until a fluke play.

All they had to do was not make a big mistake and be in a position to win at the end. AP fumbled giving Seattle an easy go ahead FG. Even with that if the kicker makes a chip shot none of that matters. He lost the game.

Vikings o-line was shyt. Passing and rushing they were getting worked over by Seattle, but somehow it's Ap's fault for not breaking 10 yd runs with guys in the backfield, and it's Teddy's fault for having little time to throw.

I swear o-linemen get the least criticism in the nfl
Bennett was tearing through them like they were made of wet paper all game long.

Without the kicker they would have no points, the kicker did his job the offense didn't produce anything . They couldn't even get in the end zone once. You don't deserve to win on 4 field goals

Besides that idk if they would have even got in position for that chip shot if cam chancellor hadn't got hit with that bogus PI call. They were lucky just to have that chance in the first place.

Plenty of teams have won games on fg's especially in poor weather conditions. How many games winning drives are called by fg's? You're making my point. He made them from 40 all game but misses from 27 to win:stopitslime:

He choked.

And how would they have no points without the kicker? He didn't move the ball, the offense did. All he has to do is make the kick.

:martin:It is completely unacceptable at this point in his career for AP to still be such a subpar pass-catching back, especially in a Norv Turner offense that has traditionally been so effective as eliciting RB production in the passing game.

shyt, it's bad enough that Minnesota has a bottom-10 receiving corps, but when your star RB averages under two receptions a game, then it completely ruins your offensive game plan. No one respects AP as a threat in the flat, and when you bring in McKinnon it's obvious to the defense that it is likely a passing down.

Teddy Stopgap clearly needs that outlet. The offense tended to look more efficient with McKinnon on the field. Time to let AP go.

That playoff fumble wasn't mental. He didn't have the ball tucked at all. shyt blew my mind...

He was dtm, and cam saw and exploited that shyt.
AP should have just went down instead of playing up and fighting tackles cause it was the playoffs.
