Hey “both siders?” House Republicans just revived HR 9495. If it passes, expect all Black focused initiatives to be killed

Saying “don’t we have a congressional black caucus “as if that means political teeth to kill bills like this shows your lack of understanding politics. Please tell me how a congressional black caucus plays a role in the house if they don’t have majority numbers to kill bills like these.

What sense are you making?

And how does your example of fighting the local Klan prevent Like this from impacting the Black collective?

Nothing you post makes sense
i will, as soon as you tell me how running down a minute percentage of the Black electorate who sat this one out cost you an election where numerically we're only ahead of the jews and asians as a voting demographic. We're talking about a group of Black people who've come to feel as Brother Malcolm, Dr. Claude Anderson, Brother Khalid, Brother Amos Wilson, Prof. Clarke, and many, many others felt - that both parties are basically the same and serve the same purpose - to ensure the continuance of white supremacy.

you're mad because a segment of Black people got tired of being lied to and overlooked by a party we've given our undying support to for over 60 years? you're mad because they said they'd rather try and find a different way?

Now since you know better than those men maybe you can explain it. Explain how you can recognize the numerical disadvantage we're in in Congress and when you're trying to win an argument to impress a messageboard, but ignore that same numerical disadvantage when it comes to national elections.

no, you understand me just fine. i don't entertain liars either, so i don't blame any Black man or woman for not just falling in line. and i don't disrespect any Black man or woman for who they choose to vote for, whether I agree with em or not.

You wont. You dont understand how government works.

There are 435 members in the House of Representatives. You need at least 218 votes to kill a bill.

Currently, 52 members of the CBC can vote. Tell me why you brought them up other than proving you dont understand how government works in this country. Tell me why you believe 52 members could prevent this bill from passing.

Your math aint mathing and your understanding of politics needs the aid of chatgpt

You commented on me first, but I'm obscuring the issue. :mjlol:
Buy some self-awareness.
I commented that you living in New York dont know hack about the bills and politicians mentioned.

You dont. If you did, you wouldn’t have posted what you did saying what you said.

I don't know about AOC? Stop lying, it's sad.
You’re emotional. You claimed your concerns as a New Yorker were around two things. Someone posted those two things already been established in our state. That proves that you really dont give a fukk about the things you claimed to care about. How does it not?

Its obvious you didnt know Bowman and why has was bounced.

You talking about “sad.” I dont care about your range of emotions

don't laws have to be voted on by the house and the senate before they go to the president to be signed?

do the republicans have 60 votes in the senate? if not, can't Black cory booker use the filibuster when it goes to the senate for a vote? i remember mitch mcconnell threatening to use it over something or other.

i don't know all the minutia when it comes to the inner workings of the government, but then i don't need to. benjamin graham said “You don’t need to know a man’s weight to know that he’s fat."

i say that to say this, when i was first getting interested in politics i went back and read the constitution. that's a lawyer's document and i'm not a lawyer. so then i went and read the federalist and anti-federalist papers and found exactly what i was looking for. the government was created by the white man, for the white man, and no amount of political/racial concessions are gonna change that. no election is going to change that. crakkkas didn't vote themselves into power, and aren't going to let anyone vote them out of it.

besides, no amount of legislation can stop Black people from raising millions and going for self. but that ain't what you're looking for, is it? that isn't something white folk approve of, so you won't even look in that direction. you'll just keep playing their electoral games, they'll keep running circles around you nikkas, and you continue to look online (and online only) for Black people to blame.

i noticed none of you staunch democrats are even willing to consider the possibility that maybe, just maybe, your own party sold you out and handed the election to trump.

shona had an interesting theory. he said when the republicans have power they push this country to the extreme right, so when the democrats are elected to rein em in and bring the country back towards the center, people like you are relieved. but what you don't understand is you're still further to the right then you were before. there's a reason the same set of neocon crakkkas behind the Bush presidency were the ones behind kamala.

And I acknowledged AOC's rhetoric but expressed skepticism on her rhetorical stance based on her past vote. Did you miss it or ignore it to fit in your lies about me?
And established? We don't have single payer healthcare and there has been no weapons embargo. What are you talking about?

And that doesnt erase this timeline:

1. You voiced what your concerns are as a New Yorker
2. Several New York politicians and bills have been worked on that would’ve longed nourished your supposed concerns.
3. I said you don’t know who those individuals are or those bills.
4. Now you are repeating AOC over and over again when all that’s been proven is that you never cared for those bills in the first place, or you wouldn’t have presented them on here as if they aren’t in the midst of being addressed or attempted to.

I care about laws not bills. Bills don't nourish shyt. Wake me up when you pass something. Otherwise, yeah it's not doing anyone any good.
