Captain America falls under the same boy scout label Superman does and has been able to have a pretty good trilogy of films. DC has failed to make Superman an interesting character because he's had no arc and there's never been a reason to care for the character in these films.
yep. they are basically the same boring ass character but marvel managed to make cap interesting and dc turned superman into a passive aggressive unlikable loser

I see what you saying and as corny as Cap comes off at times he at least has personality and story arcs. Hell Winter Soldier is my favorite Marvel movie. Supes is just so damn boring man in the comics and movies that I dont think you can do much with him no matter the script. Ironically the only thing I like of him recently is the Injustice Gods Among Us comic when he goes crazy and starts killing in the name of peace but even that leaves you not really caring for him at all proving to be a major a$$hole and rooting for Bats (as everyone should always do when it comes to Bats vs. Supes:yes:)
I feel you but Superman has had his great stories All Star Superman, Birthright, Red Son, American Alien shyt even his recent run in DC is well acclaimed they got the stories to pull from they just haven't even attempted to make him likeable at all.

You've created your own head canon/filled in the blanks to justify this Superman's character. The films are supposed to do this. Breh barely knew Lois in MoS. When they kissed in front of a burning metropolis, there was zero build up to their romantic relationship. Of course other than: He Superman, she Lois, they kiss.

In BvS the general public liked him, the government didn't. I mean a stature was built in his honor :francis:That holy savior montage where Superman was looking pissed to save people showed how the people world saw him.

Theres a decent Superman character arc hidden in BvS but the creators could give a shyt about that. As soon as Superman was is a platform to actually have a voice and give his opinion, Synder literally blows up the film then kills him. This speaks volumes of where these peoples priorities are.

dawg,...did you miss the whole damsel in distress situation in the superman fortress of solitude lair sequence.
not to mention, they had an entire rally of people with ill towards supes as he crushed the buildings and actually physically showed up on capital hill?

they had all that shyt in those movies,..i reviewed this movie and gave commentary and saw it on the opening thursday night show.

wb had to kill supes to make up for all the fukkups in the nineties and to move forward.
of which i posted about earlier in the review thread of bvs.
as they always try to get gritty with batman and supes.
to, then turn them back to campy adam west and papa reeves based iterations.

case in point,...as soon as they got gritty with the possibility of these movies in the box office.

this drops...

i rest my case.

I gotta rock with this. I hated both Captain America and Superman in their comic book forms. But the movies made me like Cap, the Supes movies so far haven't. Cap will never be my favorite but the movies crystalized his appeal. I understand now why someone might like him.
I feel the same way.

As a non comic book reader that only consumed comic book stuff through video games, cartoons, and movies I thought Captain America was one of the lamest super heroes ever growing up. Just seemed like a generic goody goody.

...yet dude somehow became my favorite Avenger while I was watching Winter Soldier. :salute:

Just goes to show that good storytelling/characterization can overcome. And the dope thing is they didn't have to change his demeanor and make him all grimdark and edgy to appeal to a modern audience. He's still a smiling, optimistic, goody goody. But through casting, acting, and writing they gave him a good amount of depth that makes him 3 dimensional and endearing.

GL lowkey better than any of the DCEU movies.
:scust:
fukk no Paralaxx kills the most trained Green Lanterns but Hal Jordan who didn't EVEN finish training beats him. Then kilowog has the nerve to say I sure can train them wdf he LEFT during the training. :why: Don't even get me started on Hector Hammond with his 70 pornstache screaming like he's getting raped every time he uses his powers. :beli: Hal's best friend saying your proposing to me after he shows him the ring.:upsetfavre:

I can go on and on there's a reason Deadpool flames that weak ass movie.

Me and friend were so pissed coming out of the theater when I saw that fukking trash.

Just go back and rewatch now.... that shyt is much better than people remembered and still holds up pretty well.

It doesn't deserved to be treated how it's been treated by the D.C. Stan's
