That's right, I admit it- during the mid-90s, I did not watch much wrestling because I was into other things and much of it had gotten wack as fukk to me. p*ssy, DJing and rapping pretty much were my main interests- and wrestling was not quite as good as it had been in the 80s/early-90s, so I stopped watching until late-'97/early-'98. I have said this numerous times. I could pull an Art Barr and pretend to be an expert when I don't really know shyt, but that ain't my style. nikkas can have the mid-90s. I watched it before it became that bullshyt and watched again once it got better.

Yep.. .for three months in '92... debuted in August, attacking Sting. Cliqued up with Cactus Jack for a moment. Had a main event with Sting at Halloween Havoc (a Coal Miner's Glove match ) lost that, and disappeared off TV after that.

As Vince did with any really great world champion from another promotion.
Who was not named flair.

Hennig was just there and a joke by the time von Erich debuted.
Every loss to the claw was the worst.
Not to mention, this trend continued with guys like Bradshaw and even candido as well.

It was even on display with Steiner, and if not for Goldberg's small bit of executive admin control.
It would have completely been bad start to finish.
Instead of the awful mania match, too.

I feel you that this is what vince DOES, but I do not think it applies to Perfect. He got OVER BIG TIME as mr. perfect and he was a legit IC champ when that mattered, and he dropped the belt to bret in a great match that was a keystone win for bret hart.

He wasn't a joke there IMO. Sure he wasn't hogan/savage/warrior status. But he was high upper midcard like bulldog and dibiase. In that era I was a little mark, a savage guy for the record. So, who was booked as important was important to me. Perfect was booked as a big deal. If you beat mr. perfect it was a good win; he was in the main event of the first houseshow I ever went to (I think against bulldog).

You can make this claim for many wrestlers but not that guy. In your eyes, what he became might be a joke as compared to what he was in AWA. Thats fair enough to have that opinion. We might just agree to disagree though.
