It was a temporary PR move, but given the rise of fascism and white nationalism in the States, its not as if there will be protests over Hogan's return. Not only is McMahon's wife on Trump's cabinet, Vince has explicitly expressed his desire to open a football league that is fueled chiefly by the desire to silence black athletes and protest. He's literally catering to the Fox News, alt-right, and "god, guns, and glory" archetypes. In spite if this, there are still countless of African Americans who line his pockets. Why would he fear bringing Hogan back into the fold? Blacks hold no power in his industry and they've never shown that they value respect as consumers more than they value entertainment.
