What welterweight championship did Marquez have when he fought Floyd?

Floyd wasn't a champ when he fought marquez he gave up all his belts when he retired

he's won them all back and some, ain't that something

Marquez came up in weight becase he wanted to the payday and it was a big fight BETWEEN TWO LEGENDS

you don't know shyt about the sport boxing do you

Then I pointed out that Antonio Margarito was ranked #1 at WW from 2004-2006, #2 in 2002, #3 in 2003, and #4 in 2007.

Please explain how in the fukk is the #1 WW for 3 years in a row, and a top 4 WW from 2002-2007 (before he even fought Cotto) was a nobody:ufdup:

How in the hell did a non-fukking-draw like Floyd Mayweather get offered 8 million to fight Margarito if Margarito was such an unknown:mindblown:

Just admit you dont know shyt about that time period because Floyd wasn't at 147 until November 2005, so you dont know about WWs in that time period from 2002-2005:snoop:[/QUOTE]
Most people dont know or realize that Margarito was the longest reigning belt holder at the time.

:snoop:

Being a draw =/= being a "nobody"

Using your own flawed logic against you, means Floyd was a nobody until he fought Arturo Gatti:wow:

Floyd didn't become the cash cow until he fought De La Hoya

when he fought Judah margarito was nowhere to be found he wasn't in the picture, or he would've been fighting for the belt

I really didn't wanna post in this thread but then I read Floyd didn't take any risks

When Floyd was flapping his gums bout fighting DLH damn near NOBODY took him seriously... He was too small...he then gave into erry demand of DLH...how is that not a risk??

Canelo had a 20 pound fight night weight advantage how is that not a risk??

Floyd was scary of Shane, he was stuttering, the internet was goin nuts that Floyd would never fight Shane.. how was that not a risk??

Fighting Cotto at 154 a weight Floyd can't even make...how is that not a risk

I didn't repeat the same thing. He has never tried to take on big risks to enhance his legacy. For example: DLH fought Hopkins, a fight he had no chance in, just to chase glory. Roy Jones moved up to heavyweight, even if it was Ruiz, to chase glory. Pac kept fighting JMM to close that chapter and erase that mark from his legacy.

Floyd has not done that, especially in the post DLH era. I thought he might go up to 155+ to take the MW title from Cotto or Canelo. Now I'm even starting to doubt he'd take THAT risk, even after having beaten both of them.

Also, you can't cancel the Pac fight out. It's the prime example. Instead of making the fight, Floyd went on a campaign about Pac being bigger and defaming him by throwing the PED stuff out there. Now that Pac got :deadmanny: he'll mention him with no problem, and the odds of the fight being made have gone way up since then.

And I won't name other fighters and circumstances just to get into you and others spitting out Floyd's narrative for why the fights never happened. No need for all that back & forth to get to the same spot. You think Floyd has fought the best throughout his career without considering risk. Fine. You've got more than a few people in here explaining Floyd's calculated moves. But I guess it's just convenient that he missed out on fighting so many dangerous fighters during his run. Just a coincidence. :sas2:
youd be the first one saying floyd is cherry picking by fighting someone he already beat to win the middleweight title and its not a real risk:mjlol:

and ofcourse you won't name other fighters, you must have realized how dumb you sounded

just admit you hate the guy

and floyd was more willing to make the fight before pacquaio got ktfo

since he gotta jail, he hasnt really entertained it

u dont no what your talking about:yeshrug:

I absolutely wouldn't. It's the top fight I want to see him take. Being the lineal champ in 3 divisions at the same time is a big deal. Same way I give him credit for taking Shane after the Margarito beating.

And I won't name any because you've got a ready made excuse straight from the TMT talking points.

And I definitely don't hate Floyd, but I'm not a mindless stan like you. Floyd is one of my favorite fighters. There's just no way around the fact that he hasn't always faced the best possible competition. And that's by design.
