You are prob close to your body's ideal weight so dropping more will be hard to do

But I like the idea of trading some carbs for protein. Rumor has it the old adage of protein being 4 cals/g is wrong; its closer to 3-3.5. So if you have chicken and rice for dinner add another piece of chicken and scale back on the rice

Replace some grains with veggies too... maybe every other day just cut out all grains (rice, bread, cereal etc) completely and replace them with crunchy fibrous veggies

My wife went to Sweden for ~4 days where they eat high protein diets... lots of fish... she came back and had lost like 10lb of water weight. Gotta switch to proteins... lean meats, casein shakes etc and crunchy veggies for carbs.

Still though you came a long way, good fukkin job!!!

I was 227 a month before I gave birth to my son. Looking at my before and after pics has me like :whew:

Just came back from jogging a while ago and :whew:

I thought I could just do it, but my knees said :ufdup:

I jogged for about 20 minutes. Then I just did 40min of speed walking.

For breakfast I had a chobani Greek yogurt, and a boiled egg. After my workout I had a apple.

I also did 30crunches, 10 leg lifts, 35 squats.

I feel pretty good right now. A little pain here and there. I know its all gonna hit me in the morning tho like:damn: . I still plan on going out to jog again in the am.

I actually didnt exercise after having my son. So the weight came off SLOW over 3 years, just by me eating better. I was at 180 for a while. Started exercising in January of last year and got to 160 by May.

Stopped working out(got lazy), and I've been at 160 ever since.

Theres a theory that every person is genetically predisposed to be a certain weight. Thats one reason why people who go on diets eventually gain the weight back. Do you eat meat? Maybe you should skip eating meat.

my advice to you is kinda basic...your eating habits are not that bad that you need a serious tweak to it...do high intensity cardio of some type for like 30-45 mins 3-4 times a week..mixed in with stuff like pushups (or wall pushups if you dont got that arm strength) and some stomach crunches to tone up some..and above all be consistent..make it part of your life routine and that shyt will come off like that :salute:

Basically I'm just looking to lose 20pds.

I'm 5'1 155. I actually feel good about my weight. I'm not little but I'm not :flabbynsick: either.

Recent issues with my gallbladder is why my doc suggested I get my weight down.

About my habits:

Other than sex, I don't exercise.
Wait, I live in NY, no car so I walk everywhere. That counts as exercise too.

I eat pretty good. Cook everything fresh. No boxed food. No canned food. Salads daily. Veggies every night with dinner. Can't remember the last time I had fast food. No soda, no juice. Water and occasional liquor. For snacks I'll have a Kashi granola bar, or a bowl of cereal.

Definitely dont deprive myself from sweets(chocolate:ohlawd: ) I let myself have 1 sweet a day. Usually after dinner. Maybe 2 cookies OR a scoop of iceream OR a candybar.

Decided to start jogging on the track near my house tommorow. Start off with just 30min then work my way up to a hour.

Any tips or suggestions?


*Side note*

I'm not into all those crazy diets or cleanses, or any of that. I'm too fat for that. I love food toomuch.
:ufdup: That is key, without that dieting means nothing. Also, quality over quantity

One of the exercises is sex:ohhh:

Intimate,vigorous and intense:whew:
there's no way to come close to an actual determination of the calories burned during sex to count it as exercise though. that's one of those things you just write off even though it does burn calories.
